Carson Daly Gets Desperate as Strike Talks Deadlock

Though their latest sitdown went into the night Tuesday, writers and producers have thus far failed to resolve their differences. This is especially bad news for Carson Daly. According to TheSmokingGun.com, the talk-show host — who has announced his plans to be the first late-night mainstay back on the air — sent an e-mail to, well, pretty much everybody he knows, asking them to call in to a "joke hotline" with knee-slappers he could tell on air. — Ben Katner

What a tool. He was always a tool back in his KROQ days. And he will always be a tool.

Wait...Carson Daly actually had writers to begin with? Could have fooled me.

I'm not one to sign many petitions, but I tend to agree with the popular notion that Daly is a tool. He is crossing the line by going back on air, and making 12,000 WGA enemies in the process. Good luck booking name talent in the near future, pal.
