The Results Are In: TV's Most Heartwarming Shows Ever!

Weeks ago, the TVGuide.com Asks... blog asked you to reflect on TV shows new, recent and classic and name the most heartwarming of them all. We then tallied up the most-frequent mentions and officially polled you on the "feel-goodiest" of the bunch.

Well, the results are now in. How did Cliff and Claire fare? Did the Waltons scale the entire mountain? Could anyone keep up with the Keatons? Flip through our photo gallery of the top 10 finishers, see for yourself who came out on top (and see which of your quotes we used!), and then race back here to weigh in on the results.

Haven't had a chance to have your say? Well, the poll is still open, so get in your vote and if the "needle" moves significantly over the next few weeks, maybe we'll need to shuffle around that photo gallery!

Am I mistaken or just seeing things? Did Friday Night Lights and Gilmore Girls both place in two spots each or was it just a glitch on my computer?

Finally! Gilmore Girls and Friday Night Lights won something!

I watched a bunch of these shows and they did make me feel all cozy inside.

How can two shows that so few people watch (Gilmore Girls and Friday Night Lights) best a ratings blockbuster like The Cosby Show?

Polls like this are nonsense.

Ratings have noting to do with how good a show is. The Cosby Show was only good for 3 seasons and it was far from heartwarming.

It's hard to have a fair poll when many of the older programs have not been seen by today's younger viewers who are much more computer literate than the older generations that grew up on Andy, Robbie, Gomer, Uncle Charlie, Nellie, and Ma and Pa Ingalls.

And, while I also enjoyed 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls. Their last few seasons were also sub-par and seen be very few people. I do doubt that The Andy Griffith Show and The Cosby Show would be ratings powerhouses in today's world hundreds of satellite/cable channels, video games, computers, and the internet.

There is no way Gilmore Girls is more heartwarming than Little House on the Prairie or Andy Griffith.

Aww Yay! Gilmore Girls totally deserved that spot!:^O

That show had me gushing so much! It made me happy, it made me sad, it made me melt, it made me cry! That show was such a heartwarming show!

As sappy as this sounds, it was not only the first show to warm my heart the way it did, it was the first show to win it over as well! I've never adored a show as much as GG and probably never will!:-x
