What's the Most Awesomest How I Met Your Mother?
How I Met Your Mother by Monty Brinton/CBS
We're getting ready here for the "return" of the TV season, and want to help kicks things off by polling the How I Met Your Mother fans on the most awesome of the CBS laffer's 55 episodes to date.
So name your favorite Mother. Was it "Swarley"? "Robin Sparkles"? (Oops, did I just make you want to go to the mall, today?) Are you partial to "Slutty Pumpkin" or the equally seasonal "Slapsgiving" (which today is featured, it so happens, in our Online Video Guide)?

Well, I really love every episode of How I Met Your Mother but among some of my favorites are:
1. Slapbet - when we find out Robin's secret. It's the kind of episode you can watch over and over without getting sick of it... kind of like how they all watched Robin's music video over and over...
2. Showdown - where Barney is obsessed with going on the Price is Right because he thinks Bob Barker is his father.
3. Single Stamina - We meet Barney's gay brother, played by Wayne Brady (I mean what's not to love?)
4. Swarley - where the gang gets everyone to start calling Barney "Swarley." I love the "cheers" ending!
5. The Pinapple Incident - Ok, I'm like Marshall, I REALLY want to know the story behind the Pineapple!!
6. Lucky Penny - where Barney runs the NYC Marathon and then can't get off the train because his legs won't work. Classic!
And there are so many other legin...waitforit...dairy moments! It's by far my favorite comedy on television! CBS if you are out there, please don't cancel this show!

Robin Sparkles
Hands down. No contest. The slapbet stuff was just the gravy on that episode.
"So let me get this straight Robin... you want us to go to the mall... today?"

While I will always have a soft place in my heart for "Slap Bet" and the introduction of Robin Sparkles, my absolute favorite has to be "Arrivederci, Fiero." Rounding out my top 5 are "Game Night," "First Time in New York," and "Monday Night Football."

"Robin Sparkles" was a really good episode until the reveal and the video near the end. Then it became a GREAT episode. I liken this to Derek and Dominoes "Layla." It was a really good song until it gets to the instrumental. Then it becomes a GREAT song.
Both have become legen-

Oh my god...how do you choose???
Well, have to admit, Robin Sparkles is probably the single greatest sitcom episode ever!!! I have got several friends hooked on HIMYM simply by showing them this episode.
How do I choose the others? There are so many. And honestly, I don't remember many from the first season because I'm so in love with season 2.
Single Stamina - Wayne Brady totally matched NPH's brilliance.
Showdown - Price is Right + Barney
Arrivaderci, Fiero - OMG I love this ep!! Who can ever listen to that song again and not think of Marshall!!
I can't remember the name but the one where Lily gives Barney the "ken doll" portrait. LOL!
Man, I really need to go buy season 1.
