Who Is Your Favorite Office Employee?
The Office by Mitchell Haaseth/NBC
As The Office's April 10 return nears, we had a fun idea: Invite you to tell us who your favorite Dunder-Mifflin staffer is, as well as(and perhaps more importantly) why.
Is it Dwight and his short-sleeved polyester button-downs that do it for you? Is it Pam and her perkiness? Does Jan and her taste in dysfunctional men endear her to you? Or does Meredith and her unapologetic disinterest in sobriety hit uncomfortably close to home?
Obviously it's easy to cast your lot for a major player, but we'd also like to hear from those of you who have a special place in your heart for Toby or Creed. This is your chance to not only sing the praises of the usual suspects but also give The Office's unsung heroes their due.
READER POLL: Vote for your favorite D-M employee, past or present!

Of course, my favorite is Jim Halpert. Who doesn't love a nice, sweet guy who would make you laugh nonstop at the practical jokes he plays on Dwight. Pretending to be Dwight from the future has to be one of my favorites.
As for those not usually recognized I'd have to say I always get a kick out of Kelly whenever she's around. Her enthusiasm and sometime cluelessness always cracks me up. Creed was hilarious when he talked about his "blog" which turned out to be a word document that Ryan set up for him. Of course there's always the competition between Dwight and Andy to be the number two in Scranton - they just don't want to admit that the Big Tuna already has the job.

Aside from the principals (particularly Jim and Pam), my favorites are:
Toby (the bird-killer) - "I don't know if Michael moved me over here with Kelly as punishment, but if he did? Genius."
Creed - "droppin' a deuce" in the ladies' room, and using the copier toner and references to "riding the Bull" to convince everyone he's not old at all. And of course, how did he get that picture? "Right place, right time."
And my favorite of the peripheral characters, Stanley. His discription of Ryan on their team sales call is one of my favorite Office moments ever ("Hi... Hi... Hi... you sounded like my 3-year-old niece!"), and I'm sure we can all relate to spending the entire year looking forward to a single day (in Stanley's case, free pretzel day). Michael Scott's right - your office just isn't complete unless it has a middle-aged black man with sass.

Although I really do love them all - I would say without a doubt that jim is by far my favorite. Absolutely he is. John Krasinski does such a great job with his subtleties - his faces alone could make a whole episode and in fact they did in drug testing back in season 2. He is such a great contrast to dwight and michael's loud personalities. And although rainn wilson and steve carell are amazing as dwight and michael - their characters lack the sincerity that jim always seems to portray. I am so excited for next thursday and just watched the preview of the episode on nbc.com and it looks hilarious. Love it! Can't wait

Gotta give it up for Toby. He is constantly left out of events, shot down by Michael and Dwight and will (probably) never be able to get his shot with Pam. Toby's a trooper, I just hope we one day find out why exactly Michael believes he is "Satan."

I have a genuine affection for Oscar. He is so neurotic and tightly-wound while at the same time he is such a normal guy. He is also more level-headed than the other characters. He is more patient and kind when dealing with Michael and the other oddities of the Office. Oscar helped Michael with his economic troubles in Money, forgave Angela in The Return, and went to Pam's art show where he defended her efforts in Business School. Oscar is also a founding member of the Finer Things Club. He's unafraid to appear nerdy.

With the exception on Jim, who's the obvious favorite (hello, where can I find a cute, friendly, sensitive, romantic...I could go on and on...guy like that in real life???) I ADORE Dwight! My roommate and I get such a kick out of they way he and Jim interact.
My other favorite character...Dwight's cousin Mose!! The episode where Dwight "hazes" Ryan, and brings him to the Shrute Family Beet Farm....priceless.

I look forward to catching a glimpse of Stanley-- great facial expressions! And Jim's imitation of him was perfect.

Kevin...without a doubt. The dryest delivery since Ben Stein!
Oh, and Pam....cause of the great boobs.

I would have to say it is a tie between Creed and Oscar.
Creed cause of this, "Goodnight Maribeth" and "Tell her it's for Creed, she'll know what that means."
Oscar for this, "Besides sleeping with men the Finer Things Club is the gayest thing I do."
With a special shout-out to Kelly "I don't talk trash, I talk smack."

Dwight of course! His love for beets and Battlestar Galactica rival my own.
I also really love Kevin for some reason. I'm not sure if it's his way of saying everything's awesome, or if it's his Police cover band, Scrantonicity II.
I tried watching the U.K. version, but the supporting cast just doesn't shine in the same way Kevin, Creed, Angela, etc. do.

Well, of course I love them all, especially the main players (jim, pam, michael, dwight, angela, andy), but of the rest, my favorites are:
Toby- his crush on Pam makes me feel so bad for him. I loved that he sent a memo out about in-office PDAs being highly against the rules and refused to let Jim and Pam sign one of those "love documents" as Michael calls them...
Stanley- I worked with a guy like him in real life. Stanley is just so... I dunno. I love that he works too much, gets paid too little, sends his daughter to a school that costs too much, sleeps in a bed that's too small, but on Pretzel Day, he's ridiculously happy.
Lastly, and perhaps mostly, Darryl- I love that they've really brought out his character more and had him get more involved with the office workers instead of just being a warehouse guy. I love that he told Kelly to access her uncrazy self. I love that he convinced Michael not to jump off the roof by basically insulting him (which of course Michael didn't notice). I love the black man phrases he teaches Michael. I love that he was the first to see that Michael was wearing a woman's suit. There's just way to much hilarity related to Darryl.
Of the main players, my fave is Jim. He reminds me of my guy friends; cool, calm, intelligent, maybe a little confused about what he's doing with his life. And he is so cute and sweet with Pam, who wouldn't swoon? I loved when he just walked into the office and kissed Pam because after talking to Dwight he was just overcome with his love for her... so sweet.
Basically, I love The Office and everyone on it. Who wouldn't?!

Helllooo!
It's gotta be Michael!!! His inappropriatness is histerical.
I know that he's a major but he is, of course, my favorite. I must say that I also have a crush on Steve Carell!

Jim Halpert, hands down. The eyebrows kill me everytime. That and the Jim faces. And the pranks. And John Krasinski's lankiness.
Yeah, Jim Halpert. Defintely.
