1. For me it's a tie between Friends, Saved by the Bell, The Golden Girls and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. If one of those gets stuck in my head I just can't get it out.

2. Smallville - Somebody Save Me (I mean, it just makes sense)

3. Honestly, nothing really comes to mind.

1. I think the best theme songs capture the spirit of the show. Because of that, I choose -- Mary Tyler Moore, M*A*S*H, The Munsters, X-Files
2. Best current -- Friday Night Lights
3. Worst -- American Idol, Boston Legal, The Office (UK version)

The best theme songs are the ones that are memorable, but not annoying and evoke the tone of the show.

Best Ever:
- M*A*S*H,
- Greatest American Hero (better theme song than show),
- Angel,
- The OC - the theme song really put me in the mood to watch the show.
- Ally McBeal - annoying show, but the theme song was perfect for what the show was.

Best Current:
The Office - another theme that just puts me in the right mood to watch the show.

Worst ever:
Couldn't think of much, most of the bad ones are just boring.
Growing Pains - just too annoying
Married With Children

I love theme songs, but I can't pick favorites. I have TV Guide's 50 best theme songs cd. I love the one from Greatest American Hero even though I've never seen the show. My only commit is I can't stand ER's new theme song. They changed it last year for no reason and it just makes me mad. I liked the first one.

Psych - "I know you know that I'm not telling the truth, I know you know, you just don't have any proof"

Veronica Mars (I even liked the slowed-down "noir" version) - "A long time ago, we used to be friends but I haven't thought of you lately at all"

Both are perfect fits for their shows
