Fall TV Schedule: What's On When and Against What!
It's one thing to blog and comment about the trickling in of fall TV announcements. (All of the fall-season headlines can be found here.) But I, for one, like to see how the schedule is shaping up. What is still in its comfortable, familiar time slot? What has moved? What is now scheduled against what, competing for my DVR's precious love?
Here is a grid showing the network line-ups officially revealed to date. Check back and often for updates, as the May upfront presentations continue.

WINTER & MIDSEASON PLANS
• ABC will bring back Lost, According to Jim, Scrubs (formerly of NBC) and The Bachelor.
• CBS brings back Rules of Engagement and premieres the murder mystery Harper's Island.
• The CW brings Reaper back for Season 2.
• Fox in January brings back 24 (Mondays at 9), American Idol and Hell's Kitchen, and premieres Joss Whedon's Dollhouse (Mondays at 8), Secret Millionaire and the animated series Sit Down, Shut Up and The Cleveland Show (a spin-off of Family Guy).
• NBC will bring back Law & Order (Wednesdays at 10 pm/ET), Friday Night Lights (Fridays at 9) and Medium (Sundays at 9), as well as premiere an Office spin-off (Thursday, 9:30), Merlin (Sunday, 8) and Kings (Sunday, 10).

Shouldn't Sundays on NBC be football, since this is the fall schedule??
Correct; I mistakenly glanced at the Sunday plan for the winter. Grid is being edited.

Also needs a separate set of daily grids for the January half of the season so that we can see the shows that the nets are threatening to premiere in January and the returning shows whose timeslots will change to allegedly make room for those new shows.
Yes, and that's even if we assume ahead of time that, as usual, anything that FOX lists as premiering in January (my prediction this year: Dollhouse) will inevitably have its initial order cut in half and its premiere moved to March or later ala Drive, New Amsterdam and Jezebel James.

Yeah I wouldn't even try and put up a January schedule, as we learn year after year what happen midseason isn't in stone untill December 15th.
And the only Network so far that even has a January schedule made up is NBC(Fox did it first three years ago, which is where NBC got this idea from).

I see L&O repeats, when will the original L&O originals air? I don't see it in the grid or as a midseason replacement. Thanks.

I was just saying to my dad, who is as obsessed w/ television as me, that I'm such a geek about upfront season because I start putting together a fall schedule and debating the worthiness of new/returning shows, and now you've gone and done the schedule part for me! Yay! Thanks!
