Exclusive Prison Break casting news about Cress Williams - TV Matt'rs

Ack. Things aren't looking good for Bailey's marriage on Grey's. Cress Williams, who plays the chief resident's increasingly fed-up hubby (and prior to that enjoyed gigs on a variety of series including Close to Home and ER), has landed a role on Fox's Prison Break.

Williams will play Wyatt, the latest assassin employed by The Company to brings brothers Michael and Lincoln's seemingly endless run to an... end. Prison Break returns for Season 4 on Monday, Aug. 25, with a two-hour episode.

Any other Cress fans out there? I've been familiar with his work since ER's early days, yes, and will always remember him giving Mr. Mars a scare on Veronica Mars.

"But what of PB's other Williams?" you may ask. Check back Wednesday for an update on poor, sad Bellick's fate.

Freakily enough I'm currently watching Season 4 of 90210 where Cress appears as Brandon's tutee D'Shawn.

He played Queen Latifah's boyfriend on the show Living Single. Don't know if I can take another year of PB. Loved it, but With Sara coming back, I am a bit like, huh?!?

I loved it when I realized that three out of four leads from Nash Bridges have guest-starred on Grey's Anatomy.

* Cress Williams (Bailey's Husband)
* Jeff Perry (Meredith & Lexie's Father)

who played partners on Nash Bridges and have been recurring characters on Grey's for the past 3 seasons -- and they've recently been joined by

* Cheech Marin (The patient that Izzie put through sooooo many needless tests.)

More Nash Trivia:

* Cress Williams is joining fellow Nash Bridges alumni Jodi Lyn O'Keefe on Prison Break. She played Nash's daughter and currently plays Susan B. Anthony, unless she was killed off, I don't know, I haven't watched PB since Sara was killed off and now that she's been un-killed off, I have to catch up.

Seems like Don Johnson should check into Seattle Grace for a 3-4-5-episode arc and then head on over to Prison Break.

@ShutUpRob: You forgot that Jeff Perry was on PB, too. In Season 1 or 2 he played Terrence Steadman, the brother of VP Caroline Reynolds.

I don't think his casting necessarily means anything to Bailey's marriage situation on Grey's. He was hardly ever shown anyway and I'm sure he can still fit in a few visits here and there as Bailey's hubby (who won't be so unhappy now that she's cutting back at work).

Count me in as a Williams fan since Living Single. Actually, since 90210. He's always been an appealing actor to me. I am NOT happy about this news, though. Much as I am a PB devotee....I want Bailey to be happy with her husband!

I became a Cress Williams fan when he was on Providence playing the vet that filled in for Jim during his recovery. I believe his character's name was Sam.

I first became acquainted with Cress via Living Single where he played Scooter. I would love for him to do double duty on Grey's and Prison Break.

I remember him from the movie Never Been Kissed. He was the audio/video guy in the van working with Drew Barrymore. And the comments about him from 90210 and Living Single, I remember him on those shows now.

I remember Cress from 90210. He played a basketball player Brandon tutored. I guess I better watch season 3. I have all the eps on tape, but haven't watched them yet.
