Supernatural's Back! Got Burning Questions for Eric Kripke?
Supernatural returns with its first new episode in what feels like forever on Thursday, Jan. 31. If we hurry, The Man can maybe get us answers to your burning questions in time for the big day. Post them here, two per customer, and I'll do the best I can. Since you're an avid bunch, I'll probably have to "close the door" on this request around 5 pm/ET Friday.
OK, I'm ducking out of the way now!
UPDATE: OK, forget 5 pm, the solicitation is over now (9 am/ET), LOL. Thank you, as always, for the response, and stay tuned!

What can we look forward to in Season 4?
Will there ever be a time when one of the boys thinks about settling down and quitting the business?

Hey Eric!
If we don't get a full Season 3, what would happen with Dean's deal? Would the big climax be in the middle of Season 4 or would it be extended to the end of Season 4?
I'm really liking this season so far, but why is it so much brighter than past seasons?

Only two questions? Avid bunch, uh Matt? Hee hee. Yes, we are that. Okay, I'll dive in. Spoiler alert - you were warned.
1. Jared recently said at the Fangoria convention that if the strike hadn't happened, we would have seen Sam's powers get to scary levels at the end of third season. Is this true? And if so, were you just trying to throw us off track by insisting that Sam had no more powers?
2. Will you ever explore what happened to Sam while he was 'dead'? By this I mean, will he ever discuss with Dean what he experienced?
Thanks for the best show on television! Looking forward to the new episodes and possibly more if the strike ends soon And season 4 of course! Cindy

Thanks so much for taking our questions, Mr. Kripke! I wanted to ask...
I know Sam is Luke and Dean is Han, but Ruby's reminding me a lot of Senator Palpatine. If Sam becomes Anakin, and Dean is his Obi-Wan, are we gonna see an awesome fight over lava to cap off the Sam-as-demon-king storyline? Please?
Are we going to find out why the Crossroad Demon's boss won't release Dean's soul? Does it have to do with him being Mary's son (as I'm betting Sam's destiny stuff does), or is it something about what he is as a hunter? Demon!Casey asked how he liked bowing before lesser creatures... does this tie in at all?
Thank you again, and keep up the great work!

Why did you name the characters the why that you did? I mean the names Samuel, John, and Mary are all in the Bible, but Dean is not, Does that mean any thing.

OK, 2 Questions for Eric Kripke: 1. Bela was introduced to expand the Supernatural world beyond the hunters and to be a thorn in the boys' sides. But do you have deeper plans for Bela than just pain-in-their-butt window dressing? Is she going to widen the boys' world beyond their wildest - and most horrifying - dreams?
2. A few websites have reported that your team had up to 17 episodes written before the strike, with only 12 filmed. If the strike ends within the next month, is there a possibility Supernatural will be able to pull out a full season, even if it dips its toe slightly into summer viewing territory?

Thank you for this opportunity, Matt! We promise not to trample you in the rush ...
Hmm, my questions for Mr. Kripke (made simpler, since others have already asked about whether the resolution of Dean's story might be postponed until season 4, and why the season three episodes have been so disturbingly bright even in night shots):
1. If the writers' strike is resolved soon (as we all earnestly pray), do you have any clue how many episodes we might be granted this season in which to resolve or at least approach the resolution of the storyline about Dean's deal?
2. In your interview in the second issue of the "Supernatural" magazine, you were quoted as saying that you would like to see the series end after five seasons. Has the writers' strike added any time to that estimate - perhaps at least one more full season, please?
[And if I had more opportunities to ask, I'd ask about the impact of the strike on DVD extras for the third season, and whether budget issues have been behind the reduction in the amount of classic rock in season three episodes ...]

Is there a possibility for a return of Amber Benson, Loretta Devine, Alona Tal or maybe Megalyn Echikunwoke? Maybe in season four? I thought their characters screamed for another appearance.

1. What is the identity of the demon who holds the contract to get Dean out of his deal?
2. How can we fans get the CW to promote our show more?
Thank you, Lindsay
