Satan's Baby Delivered on Scare Tactics

Tracy Morgan on Scare Tactics by F. Scott Schafer/Sci Fi Channel
The Punk'd-meets-horror reality show Scare Tactics is back with an all new season, and this first clip of a woman petrified by what appears to be the spawn of Satan (horns and all) is absolutely priceless. It's almost as good as the classic skit about the PETA activist encountering a mutant rat-boy. So why is it so compelling to see innocent people nearly wet their pants out of sheer fright? New host Tracy Morgan explains it best in three words: "Fear is funny!"

:O OMG! How eerie! Shades of "Rosemary's Baby." Poor girl looked really freaked! Haven't watched that show since SD hosted it. Glad she's gone.

I caught a few episodes back when SD was hosting. It's a wonder no one has had a coronary from being subjected to some of the things they do.

Actors who appear in the show are also taking a great risk. Adrenaline triggers the "fight or flight" response, what happens when someone decides "fight" is the better option, grabs a tire iron, and starts beating on some fool in monster makeup? Or pulls a .38 out and creates another Darwin Award winner?

This has got to be the worst idea in the history of TV, how can you even get an insurance company to cover your show considering the above? It's a lawyer's dream come true, for the plaintiffs!

Unless the whole thing is just a put-on, with the "victims" being in on it from the beginning.
