Who needs bodyguards when you have an army of surfer dudes and dudettes to defend your honor? We're talking about the most beloved beach bum of them all, Matthew McConaughey. While the paps were trying to snap a money-shot of this often-shirtless actor on Malibu Beach the other day, an all out brawl broke out between the beachgoers and the photogs. Forget the burley guys throwing punches—the smack talkin' chick alone would have had has running for the hills.

Assault is a crime. Photographers may be out of line, but bad manners is not legal grounds to assault others.
This is not just a paparazzi issue. The wealthy have tried to block the access to this public beaches with illegal fences and threats many times in the past.
This issue goes beyond the problems of Photographers. California law states that all citizens have a right to have access to all California beaches! No one has a right to block access to public beaches, nor may they feel they have a right to attack those they do not want there!
Owning beach front property is not the same as owning the beach. Spoiled wealthy brats do not have the right to get drunk and assault those they do not want on what they believe to be "their beach"! If they feel their privacy is not being protected, let them use legal methods.
