Celebs Speak Out on Hate
In a recent video created for Logo, T.R. Knight, Janet Jackson and Ashanti are among the many celebs showing their support in a new anti-hate video, shortly after the much scrutinized murder of Lawrence King. King, only 15 years old, was found dead last month after a student allegedly shot him because he was gay.
Your take: What are your thoughts on the PSA created in honor of Lawrence King?

how can someone be anything else than FOR something that preaches tolerance?
After something like this I wonder about Obamas safety. There are just too many idiots in the world.

As soon as I saw his name T.R. Knight I thought oh here we go again with his attention seeking... but then I clicked on and saw Ashanti and Janet Jackson, so I said to myself this might be worth looking at... maybe TV guide should have but the headline Janet does a PSA for LOGO, because seeing TK made me not want to view it...
As for little red's comment... what does Obamas safety have to do with gay rights?

Thank you! Thank you! EXCELLENT!! It's about time that this issue hit the forefront - not as an after-the-fact tragic news item, but as a preventative positive message. Kudos to all involved!! Let's just hope people listen.

I think little red was just speaking on the subject of tolerance, and how so many people in this country still have a problem with those of different races. Sad but true. To the article at hand, I think it's fantastic. As poconodean said, these issues need to stay in the news.

It seems to me that it is always easier for America to talk about tolerance for Gay people but when we talk about Black rights and what has happened to the African American community which was sanctioned by the government for over 3 centuries... As far as things staying in the news maybe that stats that how that minorities especially Blacks and Hispanics make substantially less then their White counter parts need to be discussed every day until it is rectified... Because I will say this and I know my fellow White Americans won't want to hear this but a Guy White man with a college education will always do better economically than an his straight African American counter part...

thankulord13, what you describe is a serious issue that warrants attention, but there's no reason we have to choose one or the other. Kids killing kids is a horrible problem that too many seem to ignore because it's "someone else." I wish this video wasn't just being shown on Logo. That seems like "preaching to the choir." Put it in wider distribution!

I think it's great that LOGO has made this PSA, but it should be airing on NBC, CBS, ABC and all of the other major networks.
