Ellen Beats Out Oprah for Fan-Favorite
The apocalypse is officially upon us because—get this—Oprah is no longer ranking as fans' favorite personality. The new 'Queen'? Ellen! In an online poll of 1.3 million votes conducted by AOL, the big O only received 19% with Ellen raking in a victorious 46%. Though Oprah was voted Best Interviewer, Ellen took home the gold for Ideal Dinner Party Guest. And we also have to mention Kelly Ripa won for Sexiest, Best Dressed and Best Hair. Ohhh smack, Tyra!

I'm on Team Ellen, and it's easy to understand why Oprah has lost her footing among women. Oprah has built her empire by championing women and womens' rights. Her audience is full of mostly middle-aged white women. So when Oprah decided to get political, what did she do? She pulled the race card and publicly backed Obama. It felt like a slap in the face to all of us, and Oprah lost her credibility in one fell swoop. Ellen has been a genuine person all along. Oprah can no longer be trusted.

I think is about time Oprah got knocked down from the pedestal she's been standing on. Ellen is a down to earth person, kind and very generous. I have liked her since way before he sitcom. It was a shame it was cancelled when she confirmed she was gay! You can't knock a good person down. Way to go, Ellen.

Definitely Team Ellen by a mile! I got so bored and annoyed with Oprah's attitude years ago. She really thinks WAY too much of herself and her ego has just gone off the charts. Ellen is genuine, funny, caring and still humble. Go Ellen!
