OK, maybe she didn’t use those exact words, but we're pretty positive she was thinking it! While campaigning for her mom at a college campus in Indiana, the former first kid was taken aback when asked about the ever-so-taboo subject about Monica Lewinsky. Honestly, she handled herself fairly well considering how her first instinct was probably to throw her mic at the student’s head!
Your take: What do you think of Chelsea’s response?
My first thought was that, although the question was incredibly insensitive and rude, Chelsea's remark should've been less "in-your-face" blunt (I mean, the Clintons had to have known someone would ask about that right?) My next thought was that someone who would ask about that very difficult time in Chelsea's life probably wouldn't understand anything else.
If Chelsea is going to put herself out there in the political area[even if it is for her mother]she could have responded with something about the strength and support her mother had shown in a difficult time and moved on. I am not a Hilary supporter. I feel if Chelsea is out on the campaign trail, she should not be so suprised that some people think Hilary only stood by Bill for her own political gain down the road.
What Chelsea said was just fine. What I think is scarily telling is that CBS news, in listing the text of the quote that Chelsea made to the little girl, made an egregious grammatical error.
In it, Chelsea told the little girl that she didn't speak to the press but thought the little girl was cute. CBS quoted her as saying, "... even though I think your cute." It should be YOU ' RE cute. This is such a blatant error and I cannot believe it wasn't caught by a "reputable" news agency.
The question was rude and out of line. One of the previous writers commented that everyone knows Hillary stayed with Bill for political reasons. That is an assumption on that person’s part – the only one who really knows why Hillary stayed with Bill is Hillary, but is it so far-fetched to assume it might be because she loves him? Hillary is not on trial because of Bill’s actions and, presumably, was the innocent party. Chelsea certainly was an innocent party and, I assume, loves both of her parents. She should not be expected to comment on a time that was very painful in all of their lives. Whether someone loves Hillary or hates Hillary, it seems to me (my assumption) that that question offers NOTHING to the campaign. It’s time for us to get out of the gutter, cut people a little slack, and stick to the relevant issues facing us. We certainly have a wealth of those confronting the United States.
Let's keep it real. Bill and Hillary didn't mind using her and the dog, Buddy, during the Impeachment hearing, even though the dog got kick to the curb. So since she is a adult, campaigning for her Mother, nothing should be off limit as far as questions are concern.
If she can't take the heat, she should get off the pot.
It was a legitimate question and I thought her response was lacking. She could have answered "No. I don't think the incident affets my mother's credibility at all." That would have been better than the none of your business response. That answer doesn't even make sense. The student wasn't asking about the Monica fiasco. She asked about the effects of it. Big difference and I wish the media would wise up and start paying attention to relevant information instead of dumbing down and providing silly sound bites that gets people riled up. I cannot wait for the candidate to be selected. Let's hope the democratic party doesn't screw up and leave it up to the super-delegates.

Kudos to Chelsea! She had nothing to do with that, neither did Hillary. That was Bill's doing and neither Chelsea nor Hillary should be required to answer questions about it! The person that even thought to ask about it, should get a little more "class"! I don't understand why it even should be brought up! It was 2 different people involved!
Bill Clinton did that to his daughter and I think she should have answered it...... But she took the coward's way out.. typical Clinton move or answer, she shouldn't be out on the campaign trail if she can't handle it..... Oh Chelsea where's you mother's tax return... what is she trying to hide.. I'm sure quit a lot.....
Chelsea has a lot of class. The JERK who asked the question cannot be a student??? How did such a low class stupid animal pass the entrance exams???????????????? If his mom and dad are footing the bill they should withdraw their financial support he is going no place and they are wasting their funds on him.
