Babs Admits to Affair With Married Politician!
Yesterday, the infamous Barbara Walters appeared on Oprah to reveal some of her innermost secrets that she's written about in her new tell-all memoir. And one doozy (beyond the Star Jones/Rosie drama) she divulged was her secret love affair of two years with the U.S. Senate's first-ever African-American member thirty years ago. Whatever you do, don't make the same mistake Oprah did by calling this independent woman a "mistress" because that didn't go over well at all. Perhaps Babs would have preferred the term "lady friend." Or how about "extramarital activist"? "Concubine"?

So, why is Barbara telling us all about it now because a black politician is running for President, because she wants to compare notes or is seeking Oprah's approval? No, because she's selling a book and needs salacious slut material to sell a story that is almost certainly mostly about her allegedly tough time breaking the glass ceiling of the news business.

She didn't like the term mistress? I would certainly prefer it to adulteress. Since when did we have to be politically correct when referring to women who sleep with married men?

What a two face. How many women and men has she put through the ringer, over having afairs. Meanwhile she not only had one but kept quite so she wouldn't lose her job. Again , she is ruining everyone else's life, in the name of news. We have the right to know! Two face, Shame on you Barbara. Now you figure to sell a couple of books. You have only proved, that what you do is o-k you what real america does is not.You know what they call a women who sells herself for money. Enjoy the light.

The first-ever African-American U.S. Senator was Hiram Revels, & he took office in 1870. I certainly don't condone what either Ms. Walters or Sen. Brooke did. But your statement about Ms. Walters' "secret love affair of two years with the U.S. Senate's first-ever African-American member" was either a fact-checking blunder or an addition to the many egregious & unfunny jokes about her age.

There was a time when Barbara was a respected new journalist. In my opinion, she came down a few notches when she jumped on the celebrity bandwagon. Now with this tell all book I have completely lost any respect and admiration I used to have for her. What's next Babs, Star Magazine or the Inquirer??

I too was just wondering if she confessed about her affair with an african american because of Obama running. I am sure she also enjoyed telling Oprah because she backs Obama. Barbara is disgusting & like I wrote on the Star/Babs war blog the other night, she is a liar & will lie to accomodate who ever wants her to lie or lie to save her own neck. I can't watch the View when she is on. I don't really watch it much anyway. I think the show took a dive when Meredith V left. I can't stomach Elizabeth & wasn't that keen on Rosie either. I do like Joy & Whoopi. Star is a joke too with trying to make us believe she lost all that weight by herself. What was she afraid the sponsors who gave her so much for her wedding (which now is another joke) would not give it if they knew she had surgery. I think she really milked all she could for that wedding. Well I am getting off the track of Babs & her book. I can't stand Babs & will never read her book because I could care less what her life was like. Next she will write a book about her & Hugh Downs.
