Karina Opens Up on Mario's Alleged Cheating
In an interview Monday, Dancing pro Karina Smirnoff opened up about the news that her recent ex (and former dance partner), Mario Lopez, had been cheating on her for close to a year, even while the pair lived together. Reports surfaced over the weekend that Lopez had been secretly involved with Hooters waitress (and upcoming reality show contestant) Meagan Cooper.
Speaking with E!'s Chelsea Handler, Smirnoff fought tears as she admitted how hard it was to go through the breakup, especially in the public eye, much less hear this latest news. "It could be worse," Smirnoff said. "It could be [Hugh Grant's prostitute] Divine Brown." Handler quipped that what really would've been worse would've been learning that Mario cheated on her with another man.
Smirnoff gave a little laugh, but the slinky dancer still looked a little morose:

Didn't he cheat on Landry while on his honeymoon? This is who this guy is. It's like someone marrying Charlie Sheen and then being surprised that he likes porn and hookers.

I am not surprised at all that he cheated. It really has nothing to do with the woman he's been with, Ali and Karina, it's just that he's a louse.
But yet, these dumb hos who know he's married or committed still get together with him. Is this Meagan girl proud of the fact that she was with a guy who was cheating? I guess she's just trying to get famous, even if it's for laying down and spreading her legs.
Mario is a dirtbag and both Ali and Karina deserve better. Meagan should get exactly what she deserves and Mario sucks.

Mario and Karina co-hosted a local talk show here in Houston just a couple of weeks ago. I thought they were still together. Why else would they be down here visiting his sister together?

the definition of cheating is going behind someone's back -- therefore -- of course he'd still be acting as if all is right with the world. Can't believe he had the nerve to visit his sister with Karina while making out with a hooter's chick but then again, I don't understand the male cheater mentality psyche at all.

I am very surprised at Mario Lopez. The two made a beautiful couple. I do hope they can iron this out. Mario, what look good on the outside is not good on the inside.

Come on girls, with his looks and dimples do you think he wants to settle down with one women. I am surprised it lasted this long. I am 67 years old and I still look at beautiful women, especially on DWTS Kim and Julieanne.
Married 43 years, must be doing something wrong. Oh well

Mario Lopez has cheated on every woman he has ever had a "serious relationship with". I don't know why anywoman that has any self esteem would even date him. They should know better, especially since "Hollywood" isn't that big of a town and since he has hit the scandal sheets several times

I know that his infidelity was the reason I never voted for them on DWTS. He's going to keep thinking he's "God's gift to women" since these women give him the time of day even after what he did to Ali. Karina shouldn't act all innocent like she didn't know that there was a great possiblity that it would happen to her as well.

I'm sorry, but isn't that a little harsh? Did you even watch the above clip? She seemed truly hurt. Maybe she honestly fell in love with him, and thought she'd be the one to "change" him. Regardless, she didn't deserve to be treated this way, and he's an idiot. Cheating is a sign of insecurity. Obviously Mario doesn't think enough of himself to be able to stay with one woman at a time. I say Karina is better off.

Very few people fall in love using their heads. Even if Karina knew his history it doesn't mean she'd think it applied to them.
Mario has a serious problem. Maybe he'll realize it one day, maybe he won't. He's not even "all that". Half the guys in Spanish Harlem look like him.

Why would Mario be unfaithful to Karina? Why was he unfaithful to Ali Landry, also hot? Clearly, he's either a serial cheater (and thus a candidate for a future reality series, 'Mario Lopez Is 45 and Single'), or he's overcompensating for the homoerotic vibe he sometimes gives off. Either way, his face should be on Most NOT Wanted posters everywhere!!
