Oh Brother! Why I Already Dislike Some Big Brother Contestants
So I just finished reading this article about Radical Honesty in Esquire (don't ask). It is an interesting concept, to say what you are really thinking instead of keeping it in. Not normally my MO, but I've just got to get this one thing off my chest: I can't stand Jessica. I know that I too have been cursed with a teeny-little-girl voice, and there's not too much she could do about that, but she doesn't have to be quite so bitchy.
I've been trying hard to watch the After Dark episodes, but every time she talks I just have to fast-forward. I think the thing that irks me is that she has the stupidest reason for disliking Carol. Who cares about that stupid high-school stuff? Grow up. Her little comment at the end of tonight's episode — "see you at the high-school reunion in 10 years" — totally irked me. First of all, her reunion will be in less than 10 years. And I believe that she'll see Carol at the end of the season at the Big Brother reunion, even if Carol gets voted out first.
I shouldn't be wasting so much blog space on her, but I am developing a little twitch every time she talks; it is getting a little bit annoying.
As for tonight's episode, I wasn't altogether surprised that Daniele didn't use the Power of Veto, but I've got to give her kudos for winning that challenge. Hiding her veto piece in the middle of slop was pretty damned smart.
I'm digging being puppet master to Eric. Having him make tears with his contact solution and fake a story about a friend with anorexia was pretty entertaining. I also like telling him who to vote for... though arguably that could really mess up any alliances he might make down the road. This should be an interesting twist to watch play out.
Post any spoiler-free commentary below. If you want to discuss the live feeds or the After Dark episodes, post them on this blog.

What?
No comment on Jen getting called out on that whopper of a lie she told about Nick? That was the most exciting moment of tonight's episode. The rest, sans Eric's Emmy winning moment, was quite boring.

I was also cursed with a small voice. Hopefully Im not that I dont sound that annoying like Jessica. But the person I cant stand right now is Jen and her hideous JEN t-shirts. But I have a new that she can made-up....deJENerate. That would be a very good one for her to wear.

I think the producers of BB have already had it with Jen. Word is that she was "coached" by Mike Boogie and Dr Will, and that is why she has the chill-townesque shirts with the Jen sayings. Last ep they showed her as a shallow fool (and then recapped it this week,) and this week they showed her for being a liar. Jessica's voice alone would make her annoying, but she acts like she's still in high school. Joe is a still a jerk. The sob story idea BB had Eric come up with was lame, but he did a great job with it, so kudos to him. I'm glad BB is letting viewers tell Eric who to vote for, that's really what AP should be about. I was wondering if they would do that, as they could be challenged by a contestant as manipulating the outcome. I'm tired of Amber's crying and "God is on my side" crap. I would think God really doesn't care how she does in BB, I'm pretty sure there are far more pressing matters in the world today. Carol seems pretty level headed, and I hope she stays, but it sure doesn't look that way. Oh, and for a throwback to Season 6...Jameka Who? She hardly gets any airtime. At this point, I really hope Amber goes, but I do wish Danielle used the POV and Jen had been put up.

If you need a blogger for this show, go to the Reality Bites blog with vickiejean. She's doing a marvelous job. Many of us have found her and it's time TV Guide, or you, Angel, took a look.
As for the show, I'll read her blog and skip the show. Too juvenile for me.

I agree with your feelings about Jen and Jessica. But after watching last night, my feeling about Joe are different. I like him. I know that I am in the minority, maybe even the only one that likes Joe from what I have read. The editing made him look very one sided at the beginning, but I think there is more to this story than we know. His hurt feelings seem very genuine. I find him very entertaining. I love that he went right to Nick and told him what Jen had said. I have said most of this on Vickiejean's blog. I like that Joe and Dustin are trying to take it one day at a time. Joe definitely has some residual hurt feelings and unfinished business with Dustin and whatever really happened between them. I think that there is going to turn out to be more to Dustin than meets the eye. I have a sinking feeling that I am going to end up disliking him. He had a look in his eye towards the end of when he was talking to Joe that I didn't like. We will have to wait and see. I just know that things aren't always what they seem in the BB house. I do like that Joe seems to be stirring things up and that's what makes the show interesting. Go Joe!

Oh My God, Amber was crying...AGAIN!!! In the diary rooms, this girl looks like a drunken Irishman...with her swollen eyes and bright red nose....give me a break.
Jenn - how insecure can one person be? It is really unusual for someone that is as good looking as she is to be that insecure.

I disagree that attractive people aren't insecure. There are a lot of attractive, catty, witchy women out there. That usually stems from insecurity.

Haven't had time to read your blog (though glad it's on for Tuesday's show) nor have I had time to read other bloggers comments, but thanks to a post by one of your bloggers, OCEAN, we found out about a GREAT BLOG in Join the Discussion called Reality Bites by vickiejean. She's blogging on the show as part of a writing class project and she's GREAT. Does the blogger have to work for TV Guide. Recommend you check her out Angel!! Gotta run in time crunch but wanted to pass that on when I saw your "haven't found a blogger" note.

I am loving Eric! What a great job he did with his assignment. I was thinking the anorexic thing about Danielle. She is way too thin. Kail was getting bored listening to him. I don't like her. Can't stand Jen or Jessica. Joe is a big baby. I think I was wrong about the father/daughter reunion. While I still feel that should be done in private, it looks like Danielle and Evil may work well together. Since the "shocking twist" hasn't really caused any meltdowns, I hope they have another, better twist somewhere within this show. Otherwise it is going to get boring very quickly.

Angel, please don't compare your voice to Jessica's. I listen to your voice almost every day because the podcast is basically the only way to keep myself awake during work, and at no point in time have you ever given me the headaches that woman creates. She looks like a troll, her voice is like nails on a chalkboard, and there is no way to describe how shocked I was that she knew the word nonchalant. You are so much better.
