Snoop Dogg Unleashed on OLTL's Llanview

Viki is totally going to think this is the shizzle. Or at least Niki Smith will. Fun-living rapper Snoop Dogg will make what is being billed as "an extended cameo" on One Life to Live this May 8 and 9. Not only will Snoop perform (at Ultra Violet) a pair of songs from his new album, Ego Trippin', but the two episodes will feature a Dogg-licked mix of the OLTL theme song.

"I've been a fan of One Life to Live since I was a baby," professes Snoop. "My momma always had it on the tube in the crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the life of the party."

Hey, as long as he doesn't bring back that stylized "clinking champagne glasses"/soft-porn version. — Matt Webb Mitovich

When he starred in a Monk episode, he changed up its theme song. I thought it was great. He'll likely do a great job, too, for OLTL.

Sounds like fun to me! For shizzle, the writers need to make sure R.J. is in the hizzouse for this! :-x

Did you know I've had that billowing curtains/"Is it Karen Witter or not?" theme in my head all morning now...? — MWM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't mess with OLTL's theme! I watch 4 soaps and that is the only one that I listen through the entire theme song!!! Yuck, and of all people!! So he's a OLTL fan----so what? Aren't there other OLTL fans that are able to do that, too? Leave it alone!!

Jesus H.Christ, the remix is going to be for TWO episodes.

There is no reason to get any overstarched knickers and pantaloons in a bunch over something as trivial as that.

(And it might actually be fun/good/terrific.)

Bite me DS9sisko and Mr. Furley---Jtoo and I weren't talking to either one of you. We were just expressing OUR opinion and it wasn't to you!

Snoop was hilarious in the Monk. I must put it on my calendar so I won't miss him adding a lil flava. I'm with the others, it's only 2 episodes. Good luck to Snoop.

Well, he'll be one of only 2 Black people on that show now. I'm Black and I stopped watching that show when they reduced RJ to recurring and put Evangeline in a coma. We're left with who...Layla? RJ-lite (aka Vincent)? OLTL needs some real diversity -- yes, I know the Vegas are still on the show -- and need to stop using stunt casting in attempt to raise their anemic ratings. Whatever...
