GH Vet Genie Francis Lands a Note-worthy Role

While General Hospital continues to leave coal in Genie Francis' stocking, the daytime icon has been gifted with a lead role in a Hallmark Channel movie. According to Variety, The Note — premiering Dec. 8 and also starring Ted McGinley — concerns a "lonely hearts" columnist who comes across a letter written to an unidentified child by an ill-fated airline passenger. Francis' editor puts her in charge of tracking down the tot before Christmas, all the while chronicling her (sure-to-be-emotional) quest.

As for McGinley's part in all of this, it would seem that maybe he got cast in a TV series with the aforementioned airplane.

HURRAY! Genie Francis is one of my all time fave soap alums. I don't much care what she's in, she's always watchable and accessible.

And she's got more talent in her little finger than anybody hired on GH in the last 15 years.

Go Genie! More Movies!!

It's so wonderful to see that someone is recognizing Ms. Francis' talents! She is the epitomy of style and grace, she's beautiful and she can act circles around anyone!! I will be thrilled to watch her on my screen again in any capacity. She's too good for the GH of today!

Genie is needed back on Daytime. I think it is clear she wants to come back. She has made it known.

It makes me sad though that she felt like she had to loose weight to be accepted back at GH. We do not have enough "regular" women in daytime.
