Andrea Evans Returns to One Life to Live - Soaps News

Andrea Evans by Michael Bezjian/WireImage.com One Life to Live will welcome back to its canvas a most special guest as the ABC serial prepares to mark its 40th anniversary: Come June, Andrea Evans will return as Tina Lord Roberts, the role for which she received a Daytime Emmy nod in 1990. Tina's arrival not only will bring with it the trouble that typically follows Viki's half sis, but also will open the door for another fan favorite to resurface. Hmmm.... "Even though Andrea has not appeared on OLTL since 1990, she has remained among the most requested characters to return to the show," says exec producer Frank Valentini. "I welcome her home to OLTL and to the role where she made an indelible mark on our audience." Says Evans in her own statement, "For many years, both fans of mine and One Life to Live have wanted me to return. Now that the timing is right, I’m thrilled to be returning to the role of Tina, which I've always held near and dear to my heart." Some teasers from the folks at ABC: • "Tina has endured a life-altering experience and will have a mysterious connection to one of Llanview's most powerful citizens." • "Upon her return, Tina will first cross paths with her sister Viki and her brother Todd. I am THRILLED that she is returning!!! My only concern is that it will be a brief visit (I'd rather her not return at all if it's something stupid like what GH did with Genie Francis). Any idea how long the contract is for?? I'm thinking Cord will also reappear...

I stopped watching my soaps (AMC and OLTL) months ago. This might actually draw me back to OLTL.

A connection to someone powerful in Llanview? My guess is that she is connected somehow to Ramsey.

This will definitly bring long time viewers back and renew my interest in OLTL again. Over the past year the show has gotten alot better and Andrea coming back will give OLTL the push it needs again to be a great soap again. Please tell me she is coming back on a somewhat long term basis!

Karen Witter and Krista Tesreau were fabulous as Tina but Andrea Evans is the bomb!!
I can't wait.
I have seen her on Passions and B&B and she is still so great.

I hope she'll still wiggle when she walks. That's Tina for you.

I also hope the stalker she had in the 90's which made her leave the show has gotten some help and will leave her alone when she's back in New York. Or hopefully moved away or in jail.

My guess? She's the as-yet-unseen person Ramsey is reading bedtime stories to. Totally unfounded guess, just based on the "someone powerful in Llanview" bit. Although why she'd hole up with him instead of, say, her very wealthy siblings is beyond me.

Great news. I too Sharon was wondering about her old Stalker that made her leave NY many years ago. Andrea and Erika were always great together, then again Erika is great with Robin,Hilary anyone they put her with. I too hope it is not just short term and it would be nice to have John Loprieno (SP) back as Cord or James Depiava (SP) as Max or better yet both.

Then again maybe it just might be David Vickers, since David will too be returning soon, and maybe he'll be finding out that he's Asa's son, hence making him powerful. Plus, David and Tina (as played by Krista Tesreau) once hooked up.

Is Tina Sarah's mother? I don't remember.

Anyway, I hope they bring back David Vickers. When he tried to pass himself off as Victor Lord's lls, he and Tina entered into a tawdry affair that I loved! And considering that they are repeating the storyline with Natalie and Jared, who is pretending to be who David Vickers actually is (Asa's lls), this would be perfect timing for him to return (with crazy wife, Alex, in tow).

I'm SO excited by this! Andrea Evans was awesome when she played Tina. Always scheming and it always backfired. Can't wait to see what trouble she causes in June!

I got goosebumps when I read this. I had always hoped Andrea would return, and especially since she's put down roots and started a family in CA, I'd just about lost hope. I'm sure Ramsey is the person she's connected to. Another website described the connection as being with one of Llanview's most disliked people. That combined with powerful spells out RAMSEY!

Soapcentral.com has been reporting Tinas return for weeks and yes, she is connected with Ramsey. This still won't breath any life into the wornout genre of soaps. All these stories are the same as when I used to watch them in the 80-90's. Scary that nothing has changed. All that aside, Matt I have to say I love your reporting and faithfully read everything you write.

Good for Andrea! She was a friend of mine in high school and I have followed her career since. I haven't watched any soaps for years - since the 90's with AMC - Tad & Dixie. I'll have to tune into OLTL. I tried watching Passions but it just wasn't my thing.
