House's Jennifer Morrison Diagnoses New Star Trek Film
Millions of dollars worth of diamonds were on display for the red carpet of the InStyle Diamond Fashion Awards held Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Gems of another sort made their way down the carpet in the form of celebs such as Debra Messing, Patricia Arquette and Sharon Stone. Stepping out as well was House's Jennifer Morrison. Along with spending downtime with friends in Greece, Morrison has been filming J.J. Abrams' Star Trek. "When I got the call to even come in and meet on it, I thought, 'Oh gosh, this is never going to work. I don't know anything about this,'" she shared with TV Guide. "But J.J. Abrams has got a really cool vision for it and I fit into that. It was lucky for me."
Though Morrison's lips are sealed when it comes to Star Trek specifics, she's slightly more revealing about what the future holds for House's Cameron. "For me, the storylines have been so removed from the central stuff that I feel like I'm on a different show. I'm like, 'Well, I live in the ER now.' I've got my own little world going on down there. Now that they have established the three that are staying, it'll be interesting to see how they start to pick up the rhythm and get their footing with all of us. We're all still waiting to see how that's going to work."
The similarities between the show's original fellows and the newcomers aren't lost on Morrison. "I think they're blatant," she says. "To me, '13' is very much like Cameron and Kal Penn is very much like Chase and Taub is very much like Foreman. They even dress like us. I don't know if that was intentional, or if it was a subconscious rollover, but it seems like they're fitting into that same mold."
Morrison has definite thoughts about the direction she'd like to see the series go in. "I don't think they really need anyone but me on the show," she jokes. "Me and [House] could just go and have an affair. We could go and be doctors in Africa somewhere and save the world." — Bekah Wright

It was about time someone recognized this season of House feels like watching a different show. A very bad spinoff of House indeed. I'm too waiting for the ducklings to come back.
True words were never spoken: > The similarities between the show's original fellows > and the newcomers aren't lost on Morrison. "I think > they're blatant," she says. "To me, '13' is very much > like Cameron and Kal Penn is very much like Chase and > Taub is very much like Foreman. They even dress like > us. I don't know if that was intentional, or if it > was a subconscious rollover, but it seems like > they're fitting into that same mold."

Is she an idiot? In what universe is Kal Penn like Chase?
I love the new changes to the show. It's still the best drama on TV. And the funniest! Don't want to wait for some new episodes... but I am patient.

At last someone speaks the truth!! S4 is all kinds of awful, it's validating to hear someone from the show acknowledge that. As an actress, I would find it insulting to be relegated to the background on a show I helped make a hit. Just goes to show, she has some class.

achyfakey so call me an idiot too, but season 4 is a travesty of the show House used to be, we've lost the patient of the week, the drama, House the man, and three wonderful characters for a stupid game that's been dragged too long, nasty jokes and three bad copies of the original ones. And for me House the character this season is unbearably childish.

Funny, but the blogs this year indicate otherwise. People raved about every episode, ratings are up and I am laughing as much as ever.
(Besides, I was saying she's an idiot for comparing Chase and Kal Penn. Ridiculous.)

One thing is for sure, you're not visiting the same blogs and forums I am.
Ratings were up. Then by episode nine it lost more than 2 million viewers. And IMHO it would have kept losing viewers if it wasn't for the long hiatus the writers' strike has imposed. Now I bet in two weeks House will have the greatest ratings, that's what happens when you're going into House's withdrawal.

The blogs here were very pro season 4.
Most TV shows dip off of their season premier. And in House's case from the 1st ep to the last, it was down a 0.5 in the share, down only 1.4 million in viewers (not the 2 mil you mentioned), down less than 1 mil in the 18-49 demo, down less than 0.5 mil in the 18-34 demo and down less than 1 mil in the 25-54 demo.
Those are fantastically great figures! Stop the spin zone I wanna get off!

Down a 0.7 in the share to be accurate

Nope. A 10.7 for the premiere and a 10.2 for the last episode in the last week of November per Nielsen's LIVE+SD rankings.

Just because the ratings are high doesn't mean that people are happy with the new changes. The characters are not new, they are not original, they are not interesting and they bore the crap out of me that I don't care watching for them. They are similar to the originals and it's out there very clearly for the whole world to see. I didn't see any need for change. The quality of the show has degraded significantly and it looks like they have no idea what they are doing because it is clear that there is no sense of direction it's all over the place. They have no idea what to do with the old ducklings and are just throwing them in there. The writing has turned into a reality comedy show and if I wanted to see that there is other crap out there which is why I used to like house because it dealt with serious ethical issues and it reflected real life with real characters but where has that gone now? The character of House has been degraded and he has turned into a bumbling, cartoonish and a sex obsessed idiot whose lines were cheesy, crude and just disgusting. This use to be a show that meshed well with comedy and drama because the writing had cunning and intelligent wit now it's just too crude and vulgar. The character of Cuddy had been degraded into a sex object and a walking doormat what happened there? The duckings are wall paper and they have been replaced by the new and improved versions of the them especially 13 to cameron. Yeah sure they have tweaked a few things here and there to make it look different but in reality all they have done is recycled the story lines and just chucked in some mechanics to jazz it up here and there. They still cover the original ducklings territory
I applaud Jennifer for standing up, using her voice and speak out for the fans who cares deeply for that show. It is very refreshing to see an actor who is very honest and open of their opinion. I'm surprised that none of the other actors hadn't spoken up. Bless that girl she has the guts to stand up and voice her opinion, that girl knows how to be critical and she is not ignorant of the views of the people or the problems that is going on in the show like KJ and DS tend to do all the time now. I don't believe a word they say anymore and with all the relentless teasing of ships and the relentless women being thrown at House you might as well just throw him in bed with every women he meets. The show is also becoming a soap opera.
I hope the showrunners wake up to this and do something about it but of cause they have falling into the charm of the ratings and as a result they have traded orginality and quality for ratings. A show will only stoop to that level when they are doing poorly but they were not. I also find the argument of the show becoming boring and stale hard to believe when in fact there are many shows like the Law and order shows, the CSI shows, NYPD Blue, NCIS etc etc that have a structured base formule but still continue to hold an audience, get into the top ratings no one ever complained why does thst can not include House? I hope they get rid of the newbies because so-far they bring nothing to the show and from the sounds of Jennifer Morrison it is not ging to change thankfully the studios only gave them to the end of the season at least they have their heads screwed on.
And another thing she is not an idiot she is very smart to pick up on these similarities, I think she just got the actor mixed up with the character but we all know what she meant. If they keep doing this then they will destroy their own show and I feel sorry for HL because he works hard but the writers and producers are letting him down by taking a stupid risk that will cost them in the end if they keep going. The only reason why a lot of fans are sticking to it is because they want to see it go back to the way it was.
If the show does self-destruct and goes go off it will be quite an exit, that's how to go. When they're letting their curtin down they better demand to buried in typical house fashion! Face the facts producers and writers of this show your quality and orginality is fading very quickly!

Taking into account the almost universal critical appeal and the strong support on the blog site here (and from Jennifer, she doesn't seem negative to me... just kinda simple minded), that's enough to say you're unlikely to see things change. They are committed to this new course, they like it and the ratings are excellent.
You might need to move on to something else since it's not working for you. At least you had three good years to remember.

oceanic... the last new ep of House was on November 27.
Your Nov. 20th example was the week of Thanksgiving (as I recall) when viewership is often down across the board. It then rose back up 0.2 for the next week.
Again, it's doing really great and won't be leaving or changing any time soon! Love love House.
