Housewives Nudity?! Food for Thought at Eva's Restaurant Opening

When Mark Cherry told TV Guide that Eva Longoria Parker knows how to throw a party, he wasn't kidding. The Desperate Housewives creator was just one of dozens of friends who came out to support Longoria Parker for the opening of her new restaurant, Beso, in Hollywood Thursday night.

There for the food (created by Longoria Parker and chef Todd English) and festivities, presented by Hornitos Tequila, were Felicity Huffman and husband William H. Macy, Kim Kardashian, Lake Bell, Roselyn Sanchez with fiancé Eric Winter, Constance Marie, George Lopez, Dana Delany, Mario Lopez with girlfriend Karina Smirnoff, James Denton, Julie Benz, and Sheryl Crow. Missing was husband Tony Parker, who was away for a game.

The Mexican-fusion restaurant is a passion project for Longoria Parker, who has a reputation for being a fierce cook and foodie. What makes her a good restaurateur? "She's a pig. She loves to eat!" said Huffman. "She can sew, too. We have to find something that girl can't do. It's so annoying."

Longtime friend Constance Marie, who was wearing a suit from her own collection for Mervyns, was there on a mission. "My thing is that I'm here to investigate for the vegetarians in L.A., because I'm a vegetarian and it's kind of brutal. So I'm going to see what she has to say there, and what she's got, and if it's not so good I'll be writing her a little note: 'Eva! You need to support the vegetarians!'" said Marie.

An admitted "meat person," Longoria Parker, dazzling in a sparkling white minidress, made sure to include some of her specialties on the Beso menu. "My guacamole is pretty famous," she said. "[Also] my tortilla soup, which everybody loves and makes me make all the time, and homemade tortillas.... "

It was Longoria Parker's Desperate Housewives costars that delivered the spiciest fare of the evening — in the form of good scoop: Delany told TV Guide that her ex-husband (played by Gary Cole) will soon return to Wisteria Lane. But it was Denton who dropped the biggest bomb of the evening. "There is male nudity — full nudity — but I can't say who it is," said Denton. "Not frontal, but head-to-toe, full nudity. It's a guy, and I can't tell you who it is, but it's not me, thank god! It's the second episode, and it's hysterical. We start back April 13." — Clare Kleinedler

you know i just hate it when people think like that. that if its a guy is ok to show full nudity. but if its a girl no you cant show nudity. i still say is a bad idea. you will be getting phone calls from parents and saying suing you for showing nudity.

there is a problem. why is it NOT ok to see a full frontal of a man ? We see boobs often enough, it would be interesting to stop hiding from a penis !

This is turning into quite a slippery slope. If full frontal showing of a man is fine where the penis is visible then, to be fair, female full frontal showing their genitals is also fine. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Where will it end? We shouldn't have this gender bias saying male nudity is fine but female nudity isn't.

It doesn't seem likely since he's blind but I'd love if it turns out to be Carlos!
Yum!

I'll pass on all of them, thankyouverymuch-
but actually, his blindness makes it seem more likely-as in "accidental" public nudity.
It's supposed to be "hysterical" -not sexy.

If anyone thinks there is going to be real all-revealing male or female nudity on any network TV show without some trick or obfuscation then they have not been reading the news. Just ask the producers of NYPD Blue.

The nudity is probably one of Lynette's little boys, or Bree's (grand)baby.
