Tom Cruise War Pic Delayed Until February

Better late than never? The release of Tom Cruise's World War II pic Valkyrie has been delayed and will now premiere over Presidents' Day weekend in 2009.

The film, directed by Brian Singer, had been slated for an October 2008 launch. But Cruise and United Artists heads saw a move to next February as an opportunity too good to pass up when two other major films — Pink Panther 2 and The Wolfman — were switched away from the three-day holiday break. — J.R.
