It took superhuman strength to battle the bad guys in Transformers, but Shia LaBeouf's hand injury may be enough to halt some of the action on Transformers 2.
The actor, who is undergoing surgery on his hand — following a Sunday car accident and arrest on suspicion of DUI — will be on hiatus from shooting the film for up to a month. While the studio tells Variety that no days have been lost as a result of the crash, a source insists that even so, LaBeouf's absence is creating logistical issues for everyone involved — including Josh Duhamel, who was scheduled to shoot scenes with Shia this week.
Another source claims that at least two days of filming have been lost, but the director did not comment. When Shia does return, how will he get back to business as usual? — Anna Dimond
