I really don't get involved but I had to comment on a TV Guide blogger for the American Idol show. She says, and this is taken out of context, .... "song choice is better and that he tones down the back-talk with the judges; I know there's talent and charm lurking under that winning smile." in reference to Chakeeze (sp). Please, give me a break. These judges with Simon in particular, are the most arrogant and insulting group of three people (with Paula as a possible exception in some cases) on TV today. So, if a contestant becomes a little mouthy, so what ? Simon can sure dish it out why should this be a one way street ?

I think if it's something to do with their music, song, performance, then that's fine -- they should stand there, just nod their head and try to be polite despite the judges' opinions b/c not everyone is going to agree and not everyone is going to like it. BUT if it has to do with their clothing, the color/style of their hair, their skin coloring (like Simon said the one kid was too pale), then that's different entirely. They have no right to start picking at things like that. They are there to judge the talent, which to me is the singing and performance of it, including the song choice, etc., not the person's hair and clothes.

Simon should really take it up w/ the sylists on the show, not the contestants.
I don't thinkthat the contestants should talk back to any of the judges though, especially Simon. This is basically a job interview. In the end they will earn a recording contract w/ Simon's record company. If you're interviewing for a position for a company, regardless of how you get there, you shouldn't be disrespectful to the person giving you the opportunity. Take what he says and use it. More times than not Simon is right on w/ his advice and is the only one of the judges w/ the guts to say it!

I think Simon is the only one who tells the truth. He may not be nice about it, in fact sometimes he is mean, but you can always count on him being honest and accurate.

I think Simon is the most honest and (being a Brit) is the most blunt of the Judges. Paula (and I love her dearly on here) is just floating thru with "you're so great" " I loved how you did that".....basically babbling long past when she should shut up. Randy and Simon just smile at her.
I think They have a great group of Guys left and I like either Amanda or Carly for the girls. They got rid of that punk Danny this week, and I'm glad. Ya don't bite the hand that is passing you a piece of food, idiot ! ! !
