I absolutely LOVE David Archuleta. He has an amazing voice, and is so humble and shy. He actually makes me wish that I was a teenager again, lol.

I think Simon tells it like it is. Sometimes he's a bit much but he's ok im my book.

David is probably going to win, but for my favorite by far is Amanda. She's ten times cooler than the rest of them put together. I would never even consider buying a David Archuleta album, but I'd certainly pick up an album by Amanda Overmyer.
After her, Carly Smithson, Michael Johns and teeny tiny David share a distant second place.

I agree with Simon. I remember Archuleta from Star Search a few years ago when it aired on CBS. The kid was great and still is. I hadn't planned on watching Idol this year but when I read David was a contestant, I'm now on board.

I think Simon's got it right! David A. certainly has the total package, even if he is only 17. He is only going to get better. And even if for some reason he is not the unltimate winner of AI, there is no way that young man is not going to end up as a major singing sensation.

People may or may not like Simon, but give the guy his due. He's one of the top record producers in the WORLD. He's snobby, but if he tells you you're good, you're going places. If he tells you your not...you're not. Hello? Anyone seen Taylor Hicks lately? Anyone seen Reuben Studdard lately?
Simon's been pretty on with his picks for successful idol people, although he may have missed the mark a bit with Daughtry. Chris struck a chord with people. This David kid...he's pretty good for his age.
Let's see what happens when the Top 10 is picked. Can he handle it or will he crumble...
Personally, I'd like to see him and Ramiele go toe to toe.
Mike

and...I think Cowell will be around for a while. After all, he's one of the show creators.

Of course Simon is predicting David Archuleta is going to win, that is more then obvious by the over praise he received last night. He is The Chosen One and they will do everything in their power to manipulate America into making that happen, even using praise when it isn't warranted to the extent they dole it out. Simon stated in a Newsweek article back in 2003 that he tries to manipulate the voters by issuing praise where it isn't warranted and cutting down someone else when they did better then the TCO. This was in regards to Ruben stinking and Kimberley Locke blowing everyone away.

Amanda? Winning?
No chance.
She's a one trick pony trying to put herself out there as the female Chris Daughtry.
The difference is that, while he might sing something with that rocker edge to it, he could sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow or Mandy if asked and it'd sound fine.
Amanda can't sing. She just knows how to energetically gravel things out. She doesn't last more than three weeks. And I'd never buy an album from her. I doubt many would.
David is the one to beat.
