The Top 3: Who Is Your Idol Now?
The following contains spoiler information from American Idol's Wednesday night results show.
This is, I believe, the most interesting outcome this week could have offered. By removing Jason from the equation, the question becomes: To which remaining finalist will his votes go? Because all along, Jase's fans have had the chance to back either of the Davids, if supporting cute boys was simply their thing, and yet they did not. Instead, they saw something more, something special in their favorite. Who that's left standing will now earn their support?
All we can do to get anywhere close to predicting the next turn in the tide is ask the weekly question: Who's your Idol now? Vote here. The new Power Rankings come out Monday morning. And then next Wednesday, America names our finalists.
PS. Got a question for Jason? Share it in comments and I may run it by him when he comes by for his TVGuide.com video interview. — Matt Mitovich

Matt, can you please ask Jason this?
Jason, can you describe - in DETAIL, what you want your album to sound like?
And also, what your future plans, after the tour, are? I know that's a really generic question, but you don't want to get me started on the dozens of silly questions that a journalist isn't going to ask...LOL
But maybe this one as well:
People all over message boards have been talking about how the "Powers that Be" have been essentially "throwing you under the bus" and writing you off even when you did well. Did this effect your performances the last couple of weeks?
Or, If you had made it to next week, what would you have sung for your free choice (if there was a free choice as there was previous seasons)
Or
Who are the top 3 people, dead or alive, that you'd love to meet?

I'm so sorry to see Jason leave. But I think he was at peace about it and I know he has a very bright future ahead of him.
My question for him is..
What is the biggest thing you learned throughout this experience?

I would love to know how Jason always seems so laid back and relaxed. Even tonight he seemed like he was okay with leaving. I would have been crying.

My question:
Jason, it seems to me like you gave up once you realized the judges wanted the two Davids to be in the finals. Why in the world didn't you take rehearsals seriously and fight for your spot? I don't understand why you didn't work as hard as you could have these past two weeks!
Still, I will definitely buy your record when it comes out. God Bless You.

I am sad to see Jason go.
My question for him is: If you could sing a duet with anyone - alive or dead - who would it be and why?
Thanks, Kaitlin

Congratulations to Sayesha! I know she won't make it to the Final 2, but Final 3 ain't bad. She should be very proud. Her performances last night were her star-making moment. My dream is a David Cook/Sayesha finale, but David C./David A. combo will work, too. Thank goodness Jason is gone. That "Sanjaya Part Deux" lasted way too long.
I'm already anticipating American Idol 2009. This year was not terribly exciting.

Question for Jason. I can only imagine the amount of "handling" the Idol contestants have to endure. It would seem to me that you might "enjoy" this less the others. Am I right?

Enough with the fluffy bunnies and unicorns. My questions:
Most Beautiful Dewy-Eyed Dude: Was the bowl intake exponential or relative to the weeks expended? Most Beautiful Dewy-Eyed Dude: Your beauty - exponential to the amount of witlessness?
just asking...

Jason,
I was so thrilled to see you on Tuesday night wearing the Colombian-American flag pin I sent you. You represent Colombia so well! I'm so proud of you!
After all the press you have to do and the tour this summer, do you think you'll have a chance to visit Colombia? Or at the very least, will you be feasting on a "bandeja paisa" in the near future?

How did you get so stoned prior to Wednesday night's elimination with so much press around? You really embarrassed yourself and your family. You looked and acted the fool.
How in the world can you forget the lyrics to an iconic classic like "Mr. Tambourine Man" in the week of final 4? Is it solely a result of your extra curricular activities or are you just a complete tool?
You really suck. Are you surprised how far you made it with your obvious dearth of any discernible talent?
Have you received any criticism from the stoner community because of how bad you suck?
Have you received any phone calls from any activist groups to appear in any P.S.A.s about the dangers of drugs?
Does Paula supply the herb for the contestants?
