It was the moment you've all been waiting for — but whether you were on team Archie or team Cook, you have to admit, both of these guys really killed it this season. David Cook deserved that win and I was happy to hear Ryan Seacrest say the last name "Cook". And to win by 12 million votes, wow! what a finale...I have never voted before, except I did this time, because I wanted David Cook to win so bad. I must have hit redial 50 times!...DAVID COOK ROCKS...can't wait to see where his career takes him, he is such a great guy!
It has been two days and I still cannot watch this video without tears of joy. I have been so invested in David Cook this season. From the Top 20 week forward I have voted for him as often as possible. After Tuesday night I was heart broken for him and really thought that the judges had stolen the competition from him by not recognizing the magic in his final performances. When he was named the American Idol, I could not have been happier or more proud if he had been my husband, son, lover, friend. He is an extraordinary performer to engender such devotion on the part of his fans. Can't wait for the tour and the release of his first CD. He is destined to have an extraoridinaty career ahead.
