David Cook: Idol Tour Won't Detour Love Life

If you do the math on the American Idol Live! tour, it looks something like this: 53 performances in 49 cities over 72 days adds up to no love life. But as David Cook gets ready to board the bus, he's not worried about the damper it may put on his relationship with former American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell. "I get to do what I love and love what I do, so no, it doesn't put a damper on anything," he told TV Guide between rehearsals and wardrobe fittings.
"Kim's great," Cook continued. "She's got a little bit of insight on it which definitely helps."
The two met as Caldwell interviewed Cook on the TV Guide Network before his final performance on Idol, and if there's anyone familiar with the Fox series' freight train and understanding of its demands, it's the Season 2 songstress. "We seem to compliment each other really well," says Cook. "She's very supportive, and not only with me but with my entire family, which is huge. She's great."
Looks like Idol plus Idol equals a perfect match, for now.

I think its great that these two got together. I love her as a host and he seems like a really nice guy. Plus they make a cute couple. Congrats and good luck to them.

Really, couldn't David Cook find someone else? She was the girl that was most annoying during her season. I was so happy the night she got the boot!!!

That is a grueling schedule even for a seasoned performer. We'll have to wait to see if a new relationship can hold up under those demands. I think I can speak for all David Cook fans; we love and support him and want to see him happy, even if we are not all thrilled with this particular girlfriend. I am sure the forum will be buzzing about this for the next few weeks.

I don't know how they could possibly be into each other - they're sooooo into themselves.
But that's just me ...probably because I wanted the OTHER David to win hold the American Idol title for 2008.

Uh...hello dumb-butts. Aol just reported that Cook was at some awards show with a girl from "The Hills." They had a picture. Doesn't sound like he's too serious about anybody. Try to keep up.

Phew, woah, thank goodness for this report because now I can seep tonight!
I've just been tossing and turning wondering, how will David and Kim EVER get to work out with him going on tour?!

I like David, and I'm glad he won, but they've dated a few times and she knows the drill and it sounds like they're not "committed" to each other anyway.
If it works out for them, great, if not, I'm suuure they'll both have no trouble finding someone else.
Reasonable attractiveness, some money and some fame tends to attract a lot more fishes in the sea than most of the rest of us seem to get.
Now, I'm off for that oft missed shut eye. Thanks TV Guide!!!

DC is disappointing and apparently out of his mind because of his act of dating that slutty looking, slutty acting and slutty per se girl.
she is dragging DC's career down. it would be ok if she is only unpopular but the thing is she is likewise a slut and doesn't have a respectable character.

She made fun of your mom under the guise of adoring her, but if u will read between the lines, it is obvious that she is making fun of her. do u like that?!

David Cook is so stupid. I have lost total respect for this guy since he started dating this slutty attention getting whore. Loses her virginity at 15, good one, slept with at least 10 former contestants, yeah Cook, I can see how she compliments you.
Maybe you are not as great as we all thought.
BAD Choice....I honestly won't be supporting him or be buying his CD, no matter how many times he tries to build her up, he is a fool when it comes to relationships.

Come on David, wake up. You are in some kind of lust love, it will not last and many people are hurt from this. You will find love when the time is right. First take care of your fans by giving them all you have towards your music because they have given all they have for you to get where you are.
The perfect match will come in time and you will be glad you did wait.
