Danny Noriega Takes a Rosie Vacation

Following Rosie O'Donnell's heartfelt offer to Danny Noriega in a video on her blog, the American Idol castoff took her up on it, when he sailed away over the weekend to exotic ports.

After Noriega was booted from the top 16 on the show, O'Donnell publicly extended the offer to him, calling him a "bold" and "beautiful" young man. But despite the buzz her blog posting got, there was no official yay or nay from the singer himself... until now.

In a March 15 post called "Bon Voyage," Rosie and Danny meet as he departs for an R Family Vacation, and the two enjoy a little lovefest of mutual adoration before he ostensibly sails off (watch the clip here). So what's the future of this relationship? (Danny doing guest blog appearances with Ro? An R Family music label, filled with the young dreamers she admires?) Not a big fan of Rosie, infact, cant stand her, but I really felt bad for Danny when he was cut. I dont know why, I never met the kid, however, I am happy for him. The kid has to find out about life on his own. Perhaps this will lead him on a good path.

I think Danny was smart to align with Rosie. She's a huge fan of his and can definitely help him with exposure.

Why don't we have Rosie and her little Danny all go to Never Never Land and be with Michael Jackson? Give me a break. He was lucky to have made it as far as he did on Idol. I almost threw up everytime I saw him, please, please take them all away. Let the GLAAD rags have him.

Well, any illusions I had about his intelligence are now gone with this decision. Why he would associate himself with such a nutjob is beyond me. One can only hope it doesn't have too negative an effect on his career. Poor guy - seeing Rosie in a swimsuit will scar him for life. Well, it will probably reinforce his orientation decision!!

Who cares what Danny Noriega does or doesn't do??? Gay or not gay, he was a terrible singer with no stage presence and that's why he was voted off. It makes no sense to me why Rosie feels he deserves a reward but so be it.

I just don't get the people commenting here!!!Why the hate for Rosie???She caused a stir..some she was wrong BUT some she was right!!I think she opens her mouth too much..HOWEVER, she is a good business woman & seems to be a funny & caring woman!!! Let go!! you perfect people..Take a look in the mirror and ask..Am I all that good??

Sharontatefan4ever...I'm not a huge fan of Rosies' However..I do see that she was paid to comment on the news..which she did..Not well most of the time, with her remarks..But she is a human being..She is gone from the public eye..but does not mean she can't offer someone a break like this Danny You with class & self control..OH YEAH..I can see that coming right on through with your words!!

Where do you guys get off calling being gay his orientation CHOICE??? It's NOT a choice, any more than being born with blue eyes is a choice. By the way, I am NOT GAY, I am a mother and grandmother who has been married twice. I have worked with many gay people over the years, and they REALLY CAN'T HELP IT - they don't make a choice, so quit acting like they have any other options. As for Danny, I found him likeable, and I hope Rosie can help him in his career. With a few more years of singing experience he might turn out to be pretty good.
