Memorable TV Dads on DVD
James Gandolfini by Craig Blankenhorn/HBO, Bob Saget courtesy Everett Collection, The Simpsons courtesy Fox
In honor of Father's Day, we've put together a list of 10 of the most memorable TV dads, all of which you can enjoy again and again on DVD. — Gord Lacey
10. Homer Simpson, The Simpsons He's been on TV for 19 seasons, entertaining us with his beer-enhanced antics, zany adventures, and love of donuts. If nothing else, he gets credit for parenting three kids that never age. Buy The Simpsons at Amazon.com!
9. Andy Taylor, The Andy Griffith Show When you’re an elected official charged with keeping the town safe, you could easily lose sight of your duties at home. But Andy always understood that the most important badge he wore was the one as Opie's dad. Buy The Andy Griffith Show at Amazon.com!
8. Tony Soprano, The Sopranos Tony got a gold star for heading up two families: the one at home with Carmela, Anthony and Meadow, and his other family with Paulie, Silvo and Bobby. What's a father if not a protector? Buy The Sopranos at Amazon.com!
7. Al Bundy, Married with Children Al put in long hours with rude customers (and their smelly feet) at the shoe store, all to bring home the dough to wife Peggy and kids Kelly and Bud — who then took the money and ran. Buy Married with Children at Amazon.com!
6. Sandy Cohen, The O.C. What's better than having a loving dad who loves you no matter how badly you screw up? Having a lawyer dad who can represent you in court no matter how badly you screw up. Buy The O.C. at Amazon.com!
5. Mike Brady, The Brady Bunch Between Greg, Peter, Marcia, Jan, Bobby and Cindy, Mike Brady was just as much a referee as he was a father. But he wore both hats with ease. Those family vacations sure were a blast! Buy The Brady Bunch at Amazon.com!
4. Dan Conner, Roseanne Dan might've been a tough, blue-collar worker, but deep inside, he was a teddy bear who was absolutely devoted to his boisterous and rowdy family. Buy Roseanne at Amazon.com!
3. Jim Anderson, Father Knows Best Perhaps the most quintessential father figure ever to appear on the small screen, Jim Anderson proved time and time again that the title of his show spoke the truth. Buy Father Knows Best at Amazon.com!
2. Danny Tanner, Full House Sure widower Danny Tanner got an assist from his wacky best friend and brother-in-law, but that didn't take away from his unending desire to ensure good things for his three adorable girls. Buy Full House at Amazon.com!
1. Cliff Huxtable, The Cosby Show When not busy delivering babies, Doctor Cliff Huxtable always made time for his kids. He always got through to them, using his sense of humor to explain life's great mysteries and help with their problems. Buy The Cosby Show at Amazon.com!

I couldn't find Ward Cleaver (Hugh Beaumont) anywhere on this list.
Whomever created the stupid poll to vote for the favorite dad, obviously isn't very knowledgeable about tv.

You have GOT to be kidding me! A guy who did nothing but insult his kids and wife and a mob boss, but not Charles Ingalls? Hell, even Ward Cleaver would have been a more obvious choice than Tony Soprano or Al Bundy! What about Tim Taylor of "Home Improvement"? Gomez Addams maybe...Danny Williams from "Make Room for Daddy" a.k.a. "The Danny Thomas Show", Rob Petrie, Ricky Ricardo (ever see him help him cure Little Ricky of stage fright?), Steven Keaton (ya' know, Alex P. Keaton's dad?), or Michael Kyle (Damon Wayans in "My Wife & Kids"). How do these guys not rank above a murdering mobster? I'd even suggest Archie Bunker before Al Bundy, and I hated Archie, but at least we saw that he actually cared about hiw wife and daughter.
