DVD Pick of the Week: August 14

The set doesn't contain any special features, but fans have been waiting for The Fugitive to hit DVD for a long, long time, and they'll finally be able to pick up the first set on August 14, making it my pick of the week.

I'm pretty excited for Avatar, since volume 4 will wrap the second season of the series. Loonatics Unleashed season 2 is coming, as well as the 7th volume of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (great, now I have the theme song stuck in my head), and the 4th volume of Baby Looney Tunes.

The second season of Dynasty is also coming out on August 14th; fans who picked up the first season have been waiting patiently for this set. Horror fans will be eying the two Masters of Horror releases as well.

Of course this isn't the complete list, but you can view the other titles at TVShowsOnDVD.com.

Sorry for the lack of updates here; I was traveling quite a lot in July, and my regular updates suffered. I'm back though, so you're stuck with me for awhile now ;)

I know it's easy to confuse them, but it's the second season of Dynasty that's being released. I believe Dallas's seasons are being churned out with regularity and that they just put out Season 7.

Seems like Season 2 of Dynasty would have come out sooner. If memory serves, that's when it really hit, with the addition of Joan Collins.

Ugh! Thanks for the correction. I was making a list for something else, and Dallas was on it, so that was probably on my brain when I was writing this.

Dynasty was owned by Fox, then the rights when to Paramount. Had Fox seen good numbers for season 1 they would have released season 2, but they didn't feel sales were strong enough for them to release it, then lose the rights to the series a short time later.

Well, it's this week, not aug 14, but I should receive the 1st season of 8 Simple Rules today. I'm looking forward to getting that and watching it this weekend.

suzangrace, you can always contact me using the form on TVShowsOnDVD.com (just select my name from the list). I answer emails as they come in, and I'm usually in front of the computer, so don't be surprised if you get a response a few minutes after you send it.

As for St. Elsewhere - I don't think season 1 sold well, so we may not see anything more for the show :(

I'm sorry, but this was a REALLY bad purchase. The complete series is being rereleased on october 30 and right now, at amazon, it can be pre-ordered for $48.99.

Here is the link to amazon's listing

If you can take this back, you should.

OH, better yet, deepdiscount.com has it for only $39.93. And shipping there is always free. I think I'm gonna cancel my amazon pre-order and order from deepdiscount.
