Wow, it's hard to believe the year is half-over, and coming months are the busiest time of the year <gulp>.
Fans of tween dramas will enjoy picking up the 5th season of Degrassi: The Next Generation. I grew up watching the original, and I'm impressed by the new series; it's a quality show that allows teens to bring up topics with their parents or older siblings. That's not my "pick of the week" for July 3, but it's a very good set.
My pick this week goes to the sci-fi series Eureka, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The 3-disc set includes all 12 episodes from the first season, along with commentary tracks, podcasts, deleted scenes, outtakes, mock infomercials, and webisodes. I've been waiting to see this ever since I was handed a cool 3D postcard for the show at Comic Con last year, and now I'll get a chance.
July 3rd is also the release date for the first season of Chancer with Clive Owen. The 13 season 1 episodes are being released in a 4-disc set by Acorn Media. Fans of Clive Owen should check this out - it sounds great.
