Jeers to One Tree Hill for making me dislike Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) this season. First, he dumps Peyton (Hilarie Burton) because she isn't ready to get married. Then, three years later, he kisses her, and then goes and proposes to someone else with the same ring he proposed to Peyton with. What happened to the Lucas Scott I came to know and love?

Lucas has being doing this sort of crap since the shows inception.Does anyone remember he was doing this when he was with Brooke??!!I think it just became more apparent this season as his jacka** behaviour has gone to a whole new level. I am not a big Leyton fan but Peyton deserves more than that.

I agree that Lucas is over the top, but this season has ruined Peyton's character. She is whining and rude and I can't stand her. She makes everything about her self. I would love to see Lucas and Lindsay work out.

I can't decide how I feel about this. I agree, it sort of sucks disliking Lucas this much now, especially since he and Peyton were finally so happy at the end of last season.
On the other hand, it's a bit of art reflecting life, isn't it? And I can see a pattern with his behavior from the first time he was with Brooke. But he was definitely never this dislikable before.
Peyton and Brooke just get better and better though!

Like someone else said, this isnt totally out of character for Lucas, so I think the difference this time is that this season it doesnt feel like Lucas has been focused on as much as he was in previous seasons. We are not seeing a lot of his side and what he is thinking and feeling. Its hard when the season starts and he is already in a relationship and in love but we didnt get to see them develop, what he sees in her etc, it makes it hard to see things from Lucas' point of view.

I agree. It's getting hard to be on Lucas' side in all of this. We all know he's meant to be with Peyton, but the writers have dragged this Lucas and Lindsey thing for far too long. We all know Lindsey is a phase, much like Brooke was. Eventually, it will be Lucas and Peyton. But the wait is tiring, and in the process, Lucas' character has taken for the worse. He is like a robot, lacking in personality much like Lindsey. They are a pain to watch.

I think they have focused less on Lucas too. And the less screentime he gets, the fewer opportunities we are given to get into his head and understand him. Instead, we just end up hating him more and more. He and Nathan are the core of this show right? How come robotic Lindsey seem to have more screentime than him lately. It's horrible.

Jeers to Peyton for being a whiney, sniveling bitch. I find her thoroughly unlikeable this season. I can't stand her with Lucas and I hate that Peyton and Lucas are the center and main attraction. So much for "new direction." We all know Lucas isn't marrying Lindsey and before you know it, we'll be forcefed "Leyton" for the rest of the season. BLECH.

Lucas belongs with Brooke. I cant help think that the reason they broke up Luke and Brooke was due to the fact that they were married in real life. If the actor that played Jake had never left for other projects, he would have been with Peyton. These two charachters are not the same from season 1 where she was the brooding girlfriend of the most popular boy in school and he the alienated brother.

This really isn't anything new for Lucas. he's been doing this since the show first started. They always try to portray him as this sensitive guy, but all he ever does is hurt people. He did this to Brooke for three seasons, until she finally had enough, thank God, because she deserves much better. I just think its funny that everyone feels so bad for Peyton. She has hurt many people who stood in the way of what she wanted, and suddenly she's finding it difficult to get Lucas, when she wants him. Peyton only seems to want Lucas when he's with someone else. And Lucas has always gone to her, regardles of who 's feelings will be hurt. I just feel sorry for Lindsay in all of this. She's going to end up another casualty of Lucas and Peytons "love" for eachother.

2 things I need to say about this.

1. Lucas has become somewhat unlike. He has changed but at the same time that is what keeps his character interesting.

2. I agree with cblasco703, Lucas does belong with Brooke. Leyton just doesn't make sense anymore. If you look at alot of the boards there are more Brucas fans then Leyton fans. I as well as many others are still holding out hope for Brucas.
