Reader's Cheer of the Week: Grissom and Sara Rock!
Jorja Fox and William Petersen by Robert Voets/CBS
Posted by csifan...
Cheers to CSI for keeping Sara and Grissom together. It's nice to see a mature, committed relationship on TV. It would have been easy to end it when Jorja Fox left the show. But they have taken the high road, typical for CSI, and have managed the difficult task of maintaining this intriguing relationship with little said onscreen. Well done, writers, and Mr. Petersen. Hope to see Ms. Fox back to appear with him again.

How can anyone say that the ralationship is still alive if we have nothing that says it is? Grissom has not uttered the word "Sarah" since she left and we have not seen or heard from her. Are you sure it was Sarah on the phone with Grissom or was it just implied.
Sarah is gone let it rest!

Well, lets see... maybe we are sure it was Sara on that phone because a certain Carol Mendhelson said it was Sara? Maybe we are sure that Grissom isn't over Sara because we saw the deleted scene and the promo pictures where Catherine finds Grissom and SARA's picture on the fridge... need any more clues? Or is that enough?
I find it amazing that you, Ranger99, a nonGSR fan, can't stop commenting on things regarding GSR. We have to let it rest? YOU should let it rest! Get over it!

Glad to see her go, she made her bed. No need to bore ass the story line with her. Good luck in her next adventure if there is to be a new one that paid her as well as CSI.

How sweet of you. Have you noticed that this is not about Jorja Fox and her decision to leave? Have you noticed that this is about the phone call in the end of Grissom's Divine Comedy? You know, the one some people don't want to believe was from Sara, although CM said it was? Why are you bringing Jorja into this? Has she done anything to you? Or maybe you have nothing intelligent to say, so you decided the best, "intelligent" thing to do would be to trash the actress?
Oh, and yeah, CSI payed Jorja very well, but in case you haven't noticed, now it's CSI that needs her, not the other way around. In case you haven't noticed, they still use GSR (which means Grissom/Sara Romance, just in case you were wondering) in their promos, although Jorja isn't there anymore.
Also, Jorja produced a very successful play very recently and there's still more to come, so I guess we can say Jorja has been very lucky.
She made her bed and she's gladly lying in it.

CSI is an excellent show and GSR is the icing on the cake. I consider GSR an epic romance, one taken out of the pages of fairy tales. It's wonderful to see Billy and Jorja bring to life these very complex characters and this relationship. Even though Jorja is no longer on the show, her presence is still felt. Everytime I see Grissom, Sara is there as well. I hope that she returns soon because I really miss her.

CM did not say the call was from Sara. only that we may her from her again, the call could have been Lady Heather or some other wonderful woman Grissom met somewhere. Sidle is gone and good riddance to her. the story line was bad, predicable, made Grissom look like an unethical lecherous old coot. Thank God she is gone and I hope we never have any inkling that she is or will be back. When you take the trash out, you don't bring it back in.

From Ask Ausiello: "...I'll let Mendelsohn tackle the first part of that question: "To everyone who's pondered, 'Who is Grissom talking to in the final scene?' — well, her photo was on his fridge."...
Is Lady Heather's photo on Grissom's fridge?

I agree with this article - it's nice to see a stable relationship on TV that is treated in an adult way, especially when you can turn the channel on the same night and find the game of Musical Beds that is the ever-laughable Grey's Anatomy.
I'm glad that it's still there, but also being kept subtle and sweet.

I'm all for stable, grown-up romances, but I disliked Grissom/Sara (I refuse to say GSR - that is Gun Shot Residue) from the start. I ignored the subtext throughout and was fine with the show. As soon as they made the relationship canon, I was done watching. I don't begrudge anyone their 'ship of choice, but I watched the show for the "procedures" (hence "procedural") and felt that the relationship was all kinds of wrong (which I won't get into here) and refused to watch it.
To tie this back into the post, I was excited when I heard Sara was leaving, not because I disliked the character (because I don't), but because I wanted to go back to watching and enjoying CSI, which I wouldn't do with the romance. Now, however, reading interviews and the like, it seems like the romance will never be over and I thus am never watching the show again.
It's not like I don't have other quality television like Lost and Battlestar Galactica to keep me occupied, but I'm still sad, as I used to love watching.

CSI needs Jorga Fox like a fish needs a bicycle. She was a 3rd rate actor who got a lucky break, and she was stupid enough ( and thank God for that) to walk away) I hope she is gone forever and that we never hear her whiny voice or see her stupid meaningless expressions again. She is was a blight on the show and I just hope the show can recover from the damage she and the whole GSR mess created.

"A mature committed relationship"?
More like an asexual zero chemistry trainwreck is a better description.
I also think it is hilarious that Carol Mendelsohn felt the need to release that ridiculous outtake and then explain her actions to the viewers. Because the viewers aren't smart enough to pick up on it themselves. She's as lame as the storyline.

Bravo to our 1st Amendment right to post garbage... If you haven't noticed, JF was in ER, the West Wing, and thank you God CSI. It takes real talent and dare I say personality to become a millionaire like JF. Perhaps some of you with enough time in your hands to post lovely crap, should use your time more wisely. Perhaps you can become millionaires too...

Ranger 99 how can you say that the relationship isn't still alive when we have no proof of that either. And for the official record Grissom has mentioned Sara twice since she left. In episode 808-You Kill Me. Brass asks Grissom about Sara and he responds by saying that he has talked to her on the phone and that she is in San Francisco. Later in that same ep Grissom and Catherine have a short conversation about whether Grissom should go after Sara or not. Based on what CM said it is clearly a given that Sara was on the phone since it is her picture that is on Grissom's fridge.
Therefore I suggest you get your facts straight before making comments about what has or has not happened and stop complaining about it. If you hate it that much then why are still watching?
GSR fans will not let is rest.
And as an aside Sara is spelt without the "h"
