Reader's Jeer of the Week: Let Grissom Move On!
Jorja Fox and William Petersen by Robert Voets/CBS
Posted by ladyhlives...
Jeers to CSI and CBS for not allowing Grissom to move on. They clearly wanted to leave the audience thinking Sara called Grissom. Let it go! She was a wench, and he can do so much better. Why can't CBS understand the "relationship" with Grissom and Sidle was nauseating and ill- conceived from the start? Please let Grissom find someone new and worthy of him.

I could not agree more! I am sick and tired of this Grissom/Sara relationship still being shoved down our throats. CBS and TPTB at CSI need to understand not everyone loved this so-called relationship. Sara is gone (thank GOD) just let it go for god sake!!

Well said to the primary person who posted!! I couldn't agree more! I never liked the relationship aspect of CSI and I was happy when the character left and thought maybe the show could go back to the way it should be and be strong again, with good forensics, etc. Unfortunately, the writers, producers, etc. just won't let it be and let it go. Not everyone likes the pairing or wants to see romance on the show. I like WP and JF both, but pairing them I did not like. I think they looked awful together and were so mismatched and then it became oh when will the romance return, what's going on with their relationship, etc. that the show went downhill in my opinion. I would love to see the show back strong as it was in the beginning. Bring back funny man Greg, wonderful partnerships of the CSIs as friends/collegues, etc.

Who are you calling a wench? Is this for real? Abominable use of language. Please grow up and go watch Gossip Girl or MTV.....CSI is for grown-ups. GSR is incredible.

"She's a wench"? Well, now that you said that I've suddenly decided that GSR sucks. All because Sara is a wench. Nice reasoning, no doubt about it.
When you start acting like an adult and actually giving good reasons not to support GSR, I'll think about listening to what you have to say. Until then... I don't really give a damn.
It really is amazing how you just can't get over the GSR. Are you sure you're not GSR fans? Cause really, you talk about it as much as we do. If not more.

Haha, good grief, people... still being shoved down our throats Not everyone likes the pairing or wants to see romance on the show
He just answered the phone at the end of the epi and didn't even say her name, fer cryin' out loud! I hardly think that's taking anything away from some complex cerebral murder plot. If it's that distasteful just avert your eyes or something. Sheesh...

I see your wench and raise you a barf bag. I disliked that character so much that the thought of them together made my skin crawl. That reveal in the motel room (or wherever they were) was just about the unsexiest, most uncomfortable thing I've ever seen on television. I realize that I'm in the minority here, but I really hope that I won't be subjected to GSR (Gun Shot Romance) ever again. I'm enjoying the show again now that she and that particular aspect of the show are gone. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say!

"ill- conceived from the start" Not only that but watching grass grow is more exciting! No real warmth, no intimate tone in talking, and I'm afraid it was 'pity s*x'! After all, the relationship really took off after she spilled the beans about her abusive Dad. Paying for some counseling would have been cheaper! Move on!

Please let Grissom find someone new and worthy of him. ???????????? Grissom is my favorite character by far-but answer me this ladies-if he were a real person, would he really be all that great a catch? His love for bugs? His lack of a social life and/or hobbies (oops! forgot the bug thing) and what about the oh-so-important relationship killers-fear of commitment and lack of openness & showing of his feelings?? Grissoms' already done the hard work (for him at least) by opening up as much as he can, and finding someone who will accept what they see-so I don't see him letting go anytime soon. So Grissom hanging onto her fits his personality, IMO.

Amen, Mr. Furley.
And really, how does 45 seconds to 2 minutes per hour during approximately 8 out of 22 episodes constitute shoving something down one's throat?

The Fauxmance has been crammed down peoples throats and we are still dealing with it, I personally think the phone call was from lady Heather which would explain his change of tone. When the started the relationship they could have raised her to his level, learned to love music and art and culture, learned from him, instead she brings him down to being an unethical letch, who breaks company policy for his own pleasure( if being in bed with her could be considered pleasure in any sense. IT IS OVER LET GIL MOVE ON. LET HIM FIND A WOMAN WORTHY OF HIM. WAKE UP CBS.

As the "Jeers" person can see from the poll, few people agree with this assessment. There are far more lovers of Sara/Grissom that are HAPPY for this little bitty ray of hope. What gets me, and has from when she was on the show, is how much the anti people HATE this pairing. They don't just dislike it, but their comments on jorja are downright mean. Makes me wonder. I'm a William Peterson fan, but I DIDN'T vote for him as one of the sexiest men on TV. I don't see that. Makes me wonder whether the Sara/Fox haters are SO PRO Peterson they think NOBODY is good enough for him, except maybe them!!

As CBS and the execs at CSI know 50 percent of the fans hate or at least dislike the pairing and GSR whether they vote here or not. CSI had been a great show and GSR turned it into the most predictable and boring soap opera on the tube, HO HUM! every move predictable and phony no chemistry no passion NOTHING! Watching Grissom's bugs get it on would be more entertaining! Seeing any man with "Sue E Sidle" would be distressing, she was creepier than most of the criminals they went after. So very glad she is gone I hope we NEVER see her or hear about her again, unless we see Grissom reading her obituary.

The lack of chemistry between those two was painful to watch so I just didn't watch without my hand ready to cover my eyes after the obscene in the bedroom. Has there ever been a more pitiful couple on tv? Shaving his beard off? Freaks! Kissing thru a beekeeper's helmet? Dufous! Don't you get the feeling he can't bring himself to touch her or stir up even a teaspoon full of chemistry when if you look up the word in the dictionary there's a pic of William Petersen?
What a huge waste of that sexy man. Funny isn't it he has plenty of chemistry with the dog. kudo's to Bruno for stealing a scene from Fox. All Bruno had to do was lie on the bed and we got to see the only chemistry in that room and it was between a man and his dog. I mean Bruno the dog and not the other in the room.
Keep Sara gone, please God! Fox just doesn't have the talent, charisma, or chemistry to be anything other than a second or third banana. Let's get back to the original premise of a procedural crime drama, with an occasional dominatrix thrown in, and get away from the soap. This soapy relationsh*t just made me feel dirtied watching it. Let it be gone and never mentioned again.

Oh turning an ethical charismatic character into an unethical hypocrite who lied to his friends and broke the rules for two years is just soooo sexy and so worth watcing each week....NOT!!!!!
But better yet lets pair him up with the most emotional unstable, selfish, mean spirited and closed minded woman and call it an "Adult relationship". Then have her leave a Dear John letter and sneak out of town.. If this was an actual relationship drama and not a procedural series it would probably work.
