Cheers: A Wild, Wild CSI

William Petersen and Nicole Sullivan by Michael Yarish/CBS
Cheers to CSI for taking a ride on the wild side. CBS' drama took a detour off the Sin City strip to probe a string of murders related to the Las Vegas rodeo. The episode rounded up a posse of rootin'-tootin' guests, including Jewel (singing the National Anthem), real-life cowboy-toy Ty Murray, outlaw offspring Shooter Jennings and sitcom vets Nicole Sullivan and Julie Brown. Not to mention a barroom full of catfighting cowgirls. Plus, the script was educational: Who knew there was such a thing as "semen rustling"? Yee-haw!

I love CSI and Gil Grissom. This show was a rip-roaring fun show. I loved the girls fighting. The best shows on TV are CSI, MONK, Psych, CSI Miami and NCIS.

We thought it quite dull at our house. Too corn-pone.

I have to say that this episode of CSI was fantastic. I am not really a big fan of the show but last nights episode could change that!

I have never seen a better chick fight in all of my days!

good solid ep.
I love Nicole Sullivan. She's a great under-rated comedian who sorta dissapeared in the last few years. I was just shocked to see her last night. I don't know if she was de-glammed for this role or she's going through something in RL...

I always Tivo CSI but my wife and I were both bored with the episode. I tseemed to really drag on. I like Nicole Sullivan and I believe she just came off a pregnancy which is why she didn't look as good as usual. The only episode worse than this one was the lame one where the CSI "extras" made up an imaginary crime starring some of the CSI's.

Overall, I was bored with the episode. Though I did enjoy the bar fight scene.

I've been a fan of CSI since the beginning. This is a program that could get boring if it revolved solely around the technology and procedures. Yet this episode was emblematic of why this show still works. It allows some humor to infuse the show with freshness, and, it has never lost it's humanity!

I know I'm the only one of this planet who has never watched an episode of CSI, but with the stupid writers strike interfering with my TV watching these days, I decided to try out some new shows I've never seen. And CSI was one of them. I've watched two episodes so far, and I'm not sure if I'll try for a third or not. I am totally baffled as to how this show is in the top ten week after week. It was boring, and bloody, and boring some more. The characters were wooden, with no characterization. I truly do not understand the appeal of CSI.

Julie Brown AND Nicole Sullivan were on there? I soooo would have watched it, both are so great and I am a big fan of both!
Guess I'll have to watch online or catch the repeat.

Does anyone know if CSI has aired the episode yet where its producers/writers switched places with those from Two and a Half Men?

I remember reading about this a while back in many issues past, but with the strike taking place, has this idea been canned or even aired?

If it has aired, can someone inform me what that episode was about and when it aired? If it is still yet to air, are the plans for it still in the works or has it been canned for good?

I cannot believe I missed last night's episode. Sounds like I missed a doozy.

Anyway, with this strike going on, CSI, please bring back the deliciously beautiful Lady Heather (superbly portrayed by the gorgeously talented Melinda Clarke) We do not need a script for this episode.

Both Ms. Clarke and Mr. William Petersen's Gil Grissom, chemistry speaks volumes, even when they do not communicate to each other. Their nonverbal words and scenes say a lot. I am sure these two actors can ad-lib for an entire one-hour episode. Let's try it.

What do you think readers?

I think CSI should get the Cheer of the week for getting rid of Sara Sidle! The show has been so fantastic since she had been gone. Best of all with any luck Grissom has been spared the fate of being shackeled to Franken-Sidle for the rest of his life. She was Creepier than most of the criminals! Thank God she is gone! The stories have never been better and the rest of the cast is getting some long overdue air time.

I haven't been to this website for awhile, looks like many of the fans haven't as well.
I DVR'd this episode. Not one of my favorites, but better than anything since episode 8 of this year. I really miss Jorja Fox on the show. I loved the interaction with the whole original ensemble cast. Something is just lacking for me on the show, now that we are missing a major character. I guess I will have to bring out my DVD collection, so I can watch the original cast.....
