« Cheers & Jeers
Check Out the New Cheers & Jeers Vodcast!
I agree with a Jeers to both shows. (Go Erin!)
SNL: I don't need to explain why, as I've done so many, many times in Erin's blogs. Bruce, how the heck can you actually like Penelope? It's the same thing. Over. And over. And over. No wit nor originality.
As with any comedic medium, if you can expect the jokes, something's wrong.
Canturbery's Law: I didn't get the House vibe from the show, oddly enough. Julinia Margiles definately isn't Hugh Laurie. After the show's recent demotion, it'll be canceled quickly.

I laughed aloud at Penelope. Once. SNL has a long and ignominious history of driving recurring characters into the ground. The copy guy. Pat! The Whiners. They all had some humor in them for one sketch. They should never have been done a second time.
To add to the tiresomeness of Penelope, the guest host of the week gets to do his/her version of Penelope back to her. It just drives home how unoriginal the idea is when they follow the same formula to the letter each time.
SNL needs one brutally honest critic on the set to tell them when a sketch or a character is tanking.

Bruce and Erin, you're both lovely, and your podcast was dear, but I really prefer the written version of Cheers and Jeers. Not only can I catch that at work (where I can't watch podcasts), but I'll never have a problem with slow-loading/slow-running video which I did with this.

PLEASE - no more podcasts!!!! I can't see them at work - the sound / picture always stalls and it takes forever to get through a viewing - and what else am I supposed to do while getting paid?
Keep these as written comments, please!!!

I agree with the cheer to the first episode of Canturbury's Law. It was very quick moving and very abrasive. However after watching the 2nd episode I am really looking forward to tonights show.
