The Truth Is Out... and So Is Prison Break's Doc!

OK, now you worrywarts have something to wring your hands about: The Ausiello Report has just learned that after giving birth, Sarah Wayne Callies is not returning to Prison Break after all.
Shocking, right? Especially given the way the actress' manager has been insisting for weeks that her client would be back. (The words "pants on fire" come to mind.)
We already knew that Callies was MIA from the opening credits in the first two episodes and that, for the one scene in which Dr. Sara appeared, a body double was used. But nonetheless, trusting souls that we are, we believed the mom-to-be still had a job. Well, no more. There's a story here, and you're gonna get it.
Um, as soon as we do.
In the meantime, feel free to work out your grief over this turn of events through cybersupport groups, viewing parties of key scenes from past seasons and especially tear-stained blog posts. Also, any guesses as to the "creative" way insiders are saying Callies' absence will be addressed? — Additional reporting by Ben Katner

They can't do that to us. They have spent 2 years building this relationship just to have it go nowhere. The only thing I can think of is that Dr. Sara is sold into some kind of slave trade and when the boys are free, they try and track her down. But if they just kill her off... what the heck... They did that with Veronica (but I didn't have a problem with that because I hated Veronica) but to do that again... very un-original...

Ummm, this is the whole reason I got hooked on the show. I loved that they included a little romance and was rooting for Michael and Sara since day 1. "Michael" loves her so much. I hope they bring in a new actress to play the part of Sara and NOT kill off the character. Jeez, what a waste. If they kill her off, I'm so done with this show. I'm so upset, I don't even know what I want to say

I love the show and maybe I could have tolerate her leaving in a proper way but like THIS ????

I can't BELIEVE this--after all the time we've invested in Michael and Sara, we get THIS?!?
I mean, what possible good reason could they have for this--unless Sarah Wayne Callies herself is the one not interested because she wants to spend time w/her baby...?
Michael, I will state the obvious--AS SOON AS YOU FIND OUT, please, please post!!! This is killing me!!! I don't know if I'll go as far as not watching the show, because I've loved it since day one, and I hung in there during the rocky Season 2. But we've all been desperate for Michael and Sara to finally BE together and this just HAS to happen, it JUST HAS TO!!!!

Well, if the actress doesn't want to come back, then get rid of her and replace her with someone else. Sarah Wayne Callies annoyed the heck out of me on Tarzan. Now's she's really ticking me off.

I'll believe it when I see it. She may not be under contract right now, but there are 22 episodes in the season. I'll be shocked if she doesn't at least show up for the finale. Even Patricia Wettig and Camille Guaty eventually showed up last year and they were kept offscreen for most of the season because of other committments.

allsummersingle, I completely forgot about Tarzan! Yeah, things make a whole lot more sense to me now.

This is good news for me. I was actually hoping they'd get rid of Sara and they have, so you say.
But she could at least confess to the killing and free Mike before she leaves!

There's just something about her I don't like. I had a really hard time getting into Tarzan, even though it was a decent show. She always seemed emotionless to me and her HUGE eyes were distracting. I was always like "RELAX YOUR EYES!" She always looks like a deer stuck in headlights. LOL- She was better on Prison Break, but I always have a hard time believing this relationship. I dont know. I'm not an actress, but if I was playing opposite Wentworth Miller, I would NOT have to act like I was in love with him  , but it felt like I was watching an actress pretend to be in love. Either way, I feel so invested in them now. I'm so upset that we might not get to see how it plays out.

You have GOT to be kidding! No Dr. Tancredi! That's just nuts! She went thru too much for Michael to not be there in the end. I like the actress that plays her but like other shows, can't they just recast? Or better yet, offer this one more money if necessary. Not having her there takes away from a lot of the story line and just makes most of the previous two seasons not worth ever have watched. Sux! Bring back Dr. Tancredi!!!

That's it. No more Prison Break for me. I was really dissapointed with the second season. The only reason why I was going to watch season 3 was Michael & Sara and the hope, that they will end it with season 3. Now, Callies left the show and Miller said, that it is possible to make 2 or 3 more season. No thanks.
