It's True: Mariska's a Mommy!
I'm heading back to the hospital, but I wanted to take a moment to confirm that Mariska did in fact give birth to a baby boy yesterday at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai. The not-so-little guy tipped the scales at 10 pounds and 9 ounces. Mother, son and me are all doing well — as is some dude named Peter Hermann. You're probably wondering why we haven't released the tyke's name yet. Well, Marish is pushing for Michael Thomas Ausiello-Hargitay-Hermann, but I feel that the multitude of names will confuse the child. Marish is currently mulling over my compromise: Michael Thomas Ausiello. We should be making an announcement any day now.
Thanks again for all your well-wishes. It means the world to us.

I read somewhere that the baby's name is August. But I'm sure that it must be short for Michael Thomas.

It isn't often that I find being delusional as an endearing quality, but your wear it well. I might just join you and say that as soon as you and Mariska bring baby Micheal home I'll be stopping by the house to visit my close friends.

Michael I need to thank you because I really needed a laugh today . To Mariska and hubby CONGRATULATIONS on your new buddle of Pure Joy. Just get lots of sleep. (Tip, when he sleeps you sleep it well save you both) Now that we know that God has Blessed you with a healthy baby just be ready when he's hungry, granddaughter who is 5 months gets really angry when she’s hungry. CONGRATULATIONS and ENJOY!!!!!:-
