Scoop! Without a Trace Locates Spike!

Now this is what I call a bloody brilliant piece of casting.

James Marsters is joining Without a Trace as a character named — get this — Detective Mars. I kid you not. Marsters himself confirms it on his website.

As I revealed in this week's Ask Ausiello, Det. Mars will be brought in to investigate a human-trafficking ring. The role is recurring, but I hear there's definite series-regular potential.

Pretty fraktastic, eh?

OH MY GOD! I can't believe this, I'm so excited. I've never watched Without a Trace before, but I will check in just to see James. I love him and it's about time someone other than Joss Whedon recognized this mans acting brilliance. Bloody Hell that's some good scoop!

Fan-freaking-tastic. Of course this means I have to start watching W/oaT again. And I'll have to get over being confused every time I hear Marsters speak with his normal American accent--I think he sounds so weird. Maybe he can be a saucy British human-trafficking cop.

I had read about Detective Mars, but to hear that James Marsters is playing him is so shiny. I love WAT, but lost track of it last year, due to it being on Sunday nights and often delayed because of football. I will definitely be watching it this year now that it has been moved.

The upcoming season is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory, due to all the great shows/casting additions that are in store. Hopefully they all live up to their hype.

I got the email from James' site early this morning about his new role. Soon as I saw the first report here before Ausiello named James as the Mars character I emailed Ausiello about James and his site. Wonder how many emails Ausiello got on this bit of information? Love James and thrilled he is going to be back on America tv. He had a small guest spot on Saving Grace and has just filmed a few shows of Torchwood from BBC.

Awesome news! I am so happy to see James back on the screen. Smart move, WaT peeps, if there's one thing that Whedonverse fans are known for, it's following their favourite actors to any show they are on. WaT is going to be getting a whole new groups of viewers.

That is the BEST news I've heard too! I absolutely love love love him! I have been a fan of the show but hadn't watched much of last season. I will definitely be tuning in this season to see him! YUMMMMMMYYYYYY!
