Exclusive: Major Sex and the City Movie News!

Sex and the City courtesy TBS/HBO It's the climax we were all hoping for: Reliable sources tell me that the long-gestating Sex and the City feature film is at long last a go. According to my spies, New Line Cinema is on the verge of closing a deal to distribute the pic in association with HBO. Shooting is slated to begin in mid-September with Sex symbols Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and, yes, Kim Cattrall, reprising their signature roles. An official announcement could come as early as next week. In the meantime, post your (sure-to-be-orgasmic) reactions below! Like they had anything else to do, Kim Cattrall and Sara Jessica Parker have combined done nothing more then a Gap commercial since the show went off the air.

You people are stupid. Obviously not Sex and the City fans. I love all 4 girls and I think they rock! I would def. get the movie and be interested to see what happens! Love it!

This is really exciting news, I love Sex and the City, and since I live in Manhattan maybe I'll be able to work my way into a background shot or two.

Hurray!!! Can't wait! Will invite my "Sex and the City girlfriends, we will go to the theatre to see the movie together, then go out for Cosmopolitans! We LOVE the show and watched it together every Sunday night. Of course, Sex and the City was only a half hour, but it was the impetus to get together each Sunday it was on, year after year. The conversations that followed the show created strong bonds as we shared our lives each week (not to mention the conversations *rabbit* we may never have had without the show). Now that it is official I will call each friend and invite them to fly to my new home for our Sex and the City Party. Much thanks to each member of the cast for choosing to make this movie!

Yay thanks Mikey! (don't you love the name Mikey?) I'm hoping the long-ago plot plans are still ago. I'm DYING to see how the girls met in the flashbacks. 80s era Samantha, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte will be PRICELESS.

I am serious doubts that they can find their old chemistry - which was waning as the series drew to an end. Plus do enough people still care about the show? Kind of like the next X-files movie - too late in coming.
