Exclusive: Isaiah's Date with Larry King Confirmed!
Isaiah Washington by Bob D'Amico/ABC
This just in: Isaiah Washington has more mud to sling to say about his Grey's Anatomy firing!
Washington's publicist, Howard Bragman, confirms to me exclusively that his jabberjaw client will appear on Larry King Live this coming Monday. Washington hinted at his date with King in Incendiary Outburst No. 3, which you can read all about in Mitovich's column. (Here's No. 1 and No. 2, in case you missed 'em.)
On the topic of Washington's ongoing (and unbelievably scattershot) Anger Management Media Tour, Bragman wouldn't say whether the ex-Grey's star is acting as his own PR agent. "I won't discuss my relationship with my client," he balked. He did, however, concede that things probably could have been handled better. "Part of the challenge that's out there is he's been shooting a movie 12 hours a day, six days a week, so he hasn't had time to do the coordinated sit-downs that you want to do in a situation like this."
Well, that's one way to put it. Another way? Someone needs to zip it!

Ugh! Who wants to bet Larry asks him waht it was like working with Ethan Hawke in Training Day and Matthew Broderick in Glory?
But seriously this story has just gotten out of control. I hope TR and or Shonda Rhimes do a high profile interview and tell everyone exactly what happened. We have way too much info about Isiah's version and not nearly enough about the other side.

Isaiah AND Paris? Can Larry's heart survive the excitement? Let's get Star Jones all pissed off again and bring her back too.
When did Larry King become a celebrity version of Jerry Springer?

Something tells me that nothing Isaiah Washington EVER does is his own fault. Now all of a sudden, T.R. Knight is responsible for what comes out of Isaiah's mouth. We are never going to know the "truth" about any of this. Please read the play Rashomon everybody, then you'll know why I say that.

I LOVE that Washington is finally telling everything how it is. Washington has had an upstanding career, and it didn't make sense that Dempsey would come out and say Knight should be fired, not Washington. Washington already reveiled his truth. Oh my goodness, let it go Isaiah. It sucks you were fired, and the whole situation sucked in general, but what is anyone really getting out of this?
Isaiah is a good actor and had the opportunity to continue a good career, but if he continues this endlessly he is going to seem more and more like a liability. Even if everything he is saying is true, what does it matter anymore? He's not getting his job back at Grey's. And if TR is going to be fired or not will have nothing to do with all of this. He needs to just find some class and move on gracefully. If Dempsey and TR have problems, let them work it out, and if they don't, well, don't incite it.
That being said - I'm going to miss the character of Burke next season. :P

Buffy Freak, that was Denzel Washington in those movies. I do agree that Larry King will ask the dumbest, most non-relevant questions.

Isaiah really needs to let it go and move on wth his life. He's a very talented actor and like someone else said has the opportunity to continue having a successful career, BUT only if he's able to move on from this. Isaiah obviously has a serious problem of blaming others for things that are nobody's fault but his own. Now it's T.R.'s fault that he was fired? So T.R. made Isaiah direct derogatory language towards him (more than once)? Isaiah might be forgetting that this whole incident led T.R. to feel as though he had to come out of the closet. I don't think that this is something that someone would do just to better their career or gain leverage. I really wish that Shonda Rhimes, T.R. Knight, and Patrick Dempsey(especially)would release statements reacting to this. They probably haven't done it so far because they want to keep quiet about it in the hopes that Isaiah will eventually do the same. But since it seems that he is incapable of doing so, I think that someone else needs to start speaking the truth so that he will finally shut up about it.

Sorry klynn, but, I think Patrick Dempsey,Shonda Rimes and the others have handled themselves correctly. The less said the better. This kind of fight doesn't go public in Hollywood very often for a good reason. It makes everyone involved look bad. Remember, the entertainment business is just that, a BUSINESS. This mud slinging will make it harder for everyone concerned to move on to their next job. Oy...*sigh*

Oh, goody. Remind me not to record that. At the rate Washington is going, I wouldn't be surprised if he appeared on Larry King wearing tin foil on his head and warned Larry that T.R. Knight is an alien trying to broadcast evil space signals into everyone's head.

I agree with eriny and Sonia6349. If Isaiah had just shut his mouth after the first incident (after apologizing, of course), this all would've blown over. The more that gets said about it, the more it detracts from the show. "Discretion is the better part of valor."
