Charisma Carpenter is heading back to college.

The onetime Buffyverse vixen has been tapped to guest-star on the season finale of ABC Family's newest soapy treat Greek. She'll play a national sorority representative who shows up to investigate a big, juicy scandal.

"She's part Scully and part Cordelia," explains Greek creator Sean Smith of Carpenter's snarky sleuth, who arrives for the mid-September finale and, assuming the show gets renewed, could very well return for Season 2. "I'd love to have her back," says Smith.

BTW, the first four episodes of Greek are making their way to my New York office as we speak. I'm anxious to see what all the fuss is about.

The show is so good Michael. It will be even better with Charisma on it. And when you check it out, give your POV on it.

I actually find Greek very entertaining, it is better then I originally thought it would, and I am very glad I gave it a look!

now this - this will make it all that much better!

I love Buffy Alumni on other shows!!! And Charisma rocks!

Greek takes an extremely unrealistic and "utopian" view of college life. But that's my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a really enjoyable summer series.

4 out of 5 stars definitely.

Sounds good Mike, How come no one from TV Guide does Recap/blog for the show? This is a tv site, and you have blogs for tons of worthless reality shows, why not Greek?

According to your "frenemies" over at Watch W/ Kristin, the show has been picked up for the back 10 episodes, so I can't wait to see Charisma! And this show is so great, even though I can't stand Rebecca Logan and hope the scandal has to do with her, which causes her to leave the show...

Great news!

No lie Mike, Greek is really good. The last scene of tonight's episode was wonderfully done. I hope you agree.

Greek comes closer to "getting it" than anything else I have seen and it is just plain fun to watch. Of course, it's not 100% accurate but at least it doesn't make fraternity guys out to be total pigs and sorority women out to be bimbos! And the way they have handled a fraternity pledge's homosexuality is so refreshing. I don't know if I would have gotten into it had it premiered in the fall but now that I am sucked in I will be a loyal viewer!

This is one of those shows you probably wouldn't plan to watch, but once you stumble across it, it has you hooked. I just was flipping channels and left it on for a few minutes, and that was all it took. It may not be totally realistic, but it's a light summer show that's just plain fun to watch. I think you'll get a kick out of it.

She'll play a national sorority representative
Dosen't sound to me that she will play a student--probably an alumni. Besides, those wacky 90210 kids were in high school for about ten years and graduated past 30, so who cares?...Anything to get another former Buffite back on the air...

This is a really fun show that my daughter (who is about to go off to college) and I watch together. It definitely "takes me back" to my own college days, and we've had some good discussions about sorority/fraternity life and college life in general.

I loved the nod to "Frasier", and Rusty is the most adorable "geek" to come along since Seth on The O.C. I even have a bit of a soft spot for Dale. I like that they don't make him totally offensive...he means well, but he's a little heavy-handed. I wonder how he will feel (and how he will act) once he finds out about Calvin being gay. I was pleasantly surprised at Calvin's dad, too. How refreshing to have a supportive (yet kind of domineering) father in this situation.

I can so see Charisma Carpenter as a national sorority representative! She will be a GREAT addition. I remember when someone from "national" would come to our sorority...as I said, lots of reminiscing when I watch this show.

This show is a great alternative to all the reality programming. I just want to be entertained in a FICTIONAL way!

Where's the BLOG????<img border="> I totally agree with the other poster. We still don't have a blog for Army Wives either.X-(
