Exclusive: CSI: NY Collars Ex-Creek Stud

Some fresh blood is turning up on CSI: NY.

Ex-Dawson's Creeker Kerr Smith and Shark's Bess Wohl are joining the cast as recurring players this season.

Smith, last seen in Fox's short-lived Justice, will play Drew Becker, an expert in forged documents and a love interest for Stella (Melina Kanakaredes). "Well, he pretends to be an expert in forged documents," clarifies executive producer Pam Veasey. "He has a mysterious background that we are slowly developing. He's a love interest who has an ulterior motive."

Meanwhile, Wohl, who, in addition to a two-episode stint on Shark has guest-starred on Cold Case and Ghost Whisperer, will play a new lab tech and a good friend of Adam's (A.J. Buckley).

I love Kerr Smith. I think he will be a great addition to CSI:NY. I just wish he wasn't going to have the 'ulterior motive' storyline. They've done that to Stella already. Also, I am looking forward to the Danny/Lindsay news!

Maybe it's a good ulterior motive, like: "Stella, I've loved from afar for too long; I had to invent an identity so that you would be compelled to get to know and love the real me and now that it has happened I can tell you the real truth and we can live happily ever after..."

Oh, wait. That's stalking. Never mind.

He sucked as Jack on Dawson's Creek (after his coming out episodes), and was AWFUL in Justice. Critics all mentioned how bad he was on that show. Bad actor on a boring show, can I get a collective YAWN?

He is hot though! ;)

Stella has had enough of the guys who aren't what they seem. Give her someone good, for frak's sake! Also....can I just say how happy I am that the comments are in order again?! I hated reading them backwards!

i wish they'd hook up det. flack and stella. but i guess since they won't i'll accept kerr smith even though it looks like he's gonna be another creep!

I love Kerr Smith. I thought he did a good job on Justice. The show actually wasn't that bad. I haven't heard a mention of him on Charmed. He was great on that show. I watch the other CSI shows, now I just might have to add NY to my list of Must Sees
