Exclusive: Brothers & Sisters Adopts Two and a Half Gal

Marin Hinkle is cornering the market on bitter ex-wife roles.

The Two and a Half Men actress (she plays John Cryer's uptight ex) has been cast as Courtney McCallister, the bitter former spouse of Rob Lowe's Sen. McCallister, on Brothers & Sisters. She'll appear in one episode this fall, but it's likely she'll be back for more. In the episode, Courtney goes on a Larry King Live-type talk show to discuss her estranged hubby's bid for the White House — further inflaming tensions between the two.

Since Hinkle is a series regular on Men, it's safe to say that she had to get CBS and Warner Bros.' OK before committing to B&S.

In other casting news, Tom Everett Scott has sealed a deal with ABC's Cashmere Mafia to play the fiancé of Lucy Liu's character — which is a little strange since in the pilot I saw she was definitely single. I'm sure there's a very good explanation for that. Or not.

How about a crossover episode of Two-and-a Half Men and Brothers & Sisters. We could get the Harper Brothers to mingle with the Walker clan and see who are the most disfunctional!

So now that the role has been cast can you give us any more clues as to who the actress who dropped out at the 11th hour was?

Or finally give us some more clues about the last actor who was being sought for the Criminal Minds role?

It's no fun without an eventual answer!

In the pilot of CASHMERE MAFIA Lucy Lui is not single - she has a boyfriend, a co-worker, who asks her to move in with him at the beginning of the show. Then their boss makes them compete for a big account and when Lucy gets it, he can't handle it and breaks up with her. But that's not to say he doesn't come back around in future eps.

Aren't there enough actresses that they don't have to use the same one in another show? Can't they share the wealth?

Marin Hinkle will always be Judy from Once & Again to me. I loved that show, it left us too soon. Damn you, ABC!

I agree... her Once and Again role was great and I guess since that producers of that show and B&S are linked....
