Exclusive: Army Wives Renewed!

Catherine Bell, Brigid Brannagh and Kim Delaney courtesy Lifetime TV

Army Wives' tour of duty has been extended.

Multiple sources confirm that Lifetime has renewed the first-year drama for an 18-episode second season.

No huge surprise considering it's Lifetime's highest-rated original series since the dawn of time!!! Or something like that.

I'd watch anything with Kim Delaney. Been a fan since AMC.

Why isn't anyone on the TV Guide staff blogging this show? It's soapy yet has really likeable - I want to get to know them better - characters. A renewal certainly indicates that the show is here to stay for a while - yippee!

i'm so pleased to hear this. every sunday night my daughter rushes home from work so we can watch this show together. this show is so well done.

I live no more than 5 minutes away from where they shoot most of the show and I was so happy to see them out shooting it the other night... The show's amazing and I''m estatic that it was renewed...

I am also thrilled that the show has been renewed! I came in late (still haven't seen the first two or three episodes) but just love it. I began watching because I caught Drew Fuller's name in the credits while channel flipping but now I'm just hooked on it. It is such a great show with incredible talent in both the cast and crew. Yea for them all for getting renewed...and where's the tvguide blog?!

Finally---a show that I really love and can't miss has been renewed for another season. At least Lifetime isn't following in ABC's footsteps!! I want a blog about it, too. Wonder how many people have to ask???????

This is such a great show. Such great news! Yes, I too would watch Kim Delaney in anything. Also been a fan since she was Jenny on AMC.

Great news! I'm a fan. I'm glad Lifetime is giving it a chance. I guess they have no reason not too, since it's touted as the most successful original show they've ever done. Congrats to the cast and crew!
