CW's Fall Sked, Everwood EP Speaks

Aside from that egregious Everwood snub, CW's fall schedule is close to perfect.

Monday: 7th Heaven, Runaway
Tuesday: Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars
Wednesday: Top Model/Beauty and Geek, One Tree Hill
Thursday: Smallville, Supernatural
Friday: Wrestling
Sunday: Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends, The Game

Also, Reba received a last-minute 13-episode reprieve, which pretty much means Everwood is the only bubble show that didn't make the cut. Dawn Ostroff's got some explainin' to do.

Speaking of Everwood, I've been trading e-mails with exec producer Rina Mimoun and she wanted to offer a "final thank you to all our fans for all their hard work and effort. I'd love to give a giant cyberhug to everyone who has been so amazing to us."

The one silver lining here is that, as you know, Mimoun and her team prepared for the worst and shot an alternate series-finale ending. So at the very least, our beloved Everwood will get a fitting send-off. Little consolation, I know.

Off to Madison Square Garden to grill Ostroff.

I'm glad to see a "Reba-prieve", because my favorite character on the show was the longest daughter, Scarlett Pomers, who was off last season to deal with an eating disorder. I would really like to see her back before the show's (inevitable) cancellation next year.

sorry this is a corrected post:

Wrestling over Everwood. While Everwood doesn't belong on Friday nights, who is the target on that night.

Instead of reruns they should show one show continuous and then Everwood straight through.

I'm pretty unhappy with the CW. How can they explain renewing 7th Heaven and cancelling Everwood? I understand that 7th makes money and that it's a family program, but Everwood is a more believable family drama, not to mention better-written and better-acted. This network had the opportunity to establish themselves as a haven for unique, acclaimed television programs, and they took a step in the right direction with Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. But to choose 7th over Everwood (and I can't even BEGIN to talk about One Tree Hill) is ridiculous.

And I'd also like to know - where's the Sunday night lineup? Seems I have a little extra viewing time on my hand since ABC up and moved Grey's.

Everwood should be in the timeslot where 7th Heaven is. And 7th Heaven shouldn't be on the schedule at all. So stupid! Otherwise, everything looks good. Yay for Gilmore Girls.

I posted a similar post on the original report, but I think it's worth repeating. Everwood, if the CW tragically lets it go, should be picked up by ABC Family. It's far and away the best family show on television. Somebody send this to TPTB at ABC Family - please!

Dear Michael,

PLEASE ASK DAWN OSTROFF (CW PREZ) WHAT THE FRACK IS SHE THINKING?
At least give us 13 episodes of Everwood?

Everwood should have taken Runaway's slot, it doesn't fit in there at all.

Give her hell Ausiello she deserves it. It will be nice to see OTH go down in flames next season and have her realize what a terrible decision that was. (I know OTH fans I am just so childish and have to beat up on other people's shows. Get over it.)

Ok, explain this to me: 7th Heaven ended. We had a finale. All the storylines were wrapped up. What the frack is going to happen now?? Is there a CW website somewhere that explains all of this? I've tried looking and I can't seem to find it. You'd think after they announced their schedule that they'd have a website up. Anybody know of one?

p.s. RIP Everwood - you will be greatly missed!

I´m sad, I´m completly bad with thsi. I can´t believe..

I hope CW will so bad in ratings, for this way they learn a not to do more bad things.
