Breaking: Murder Club to Reopen in April

womens_murder_club01.jpg
Talk about dodging a bullet.

Women's Murder Club, which has been hovering near death for the past two weeks, has succeeded in finding a new boss and will return to ABC's sked in late April, a show spokesperson confirms. Law & Order vet Robert Nathan has come onboard as show-runner and will oversee production of this season's final three episodes.

Meanwhile, there was some talk that 20th Century Fox, the studio behind Murder Club, was planning to retool the show as an Angie Harmon vehicle, but the show rep denies that. "There are no plans to revamp the series dramatically or shift the emphasis in any way," insists the spokesperson. "It remains a procedural focused on the four women leads who partner together to solve crimes."

Still no word on when Murder Club will air when it returns, but I'm guessing it won't be Friday night at 9 pm. Might I suggest Mondays at 10 pm after Dancing with the Stars and Samantha Who? Just putting it out there.

Omg!!! i'm sooo happy! As a college student who enjoys an intelligent tv show, i also agree that friday at 9pm perhaps isnt the best choice. also, having the episodes online would be nice, and would get more people interested!!!

I think this drama has a lot of potential and it's the only new show I've tuned into this season.

Good news!

YESYESYESYES!!!

But yeah, no Friday's at 9. They were sending it to Ratings Hell when they gave it that time slot. I really think almost anything except Thursdays would be better than Fridays, and something with a good lead-in, like Mondays after Sam Who?, like Ausiello suggested.

Listen to the man, ABC. He may have divulged major spoilers for pretty much every single one of your top hit shows over the years, but he still comes up with a usable idea once in a while.

Michael, you just made my weekend. And I wish you were in charge of programming over at ABC. Monday night would be perfect for this show.

WMC fans, keep letting ABC know you want a full second season of WMC. And watch LIVE when it comes back in April.
