OMFG! Check Out Gossip Girl's Racy New Ad Campaign!
Nothing like a little controversy to whet our appetites for Gossip Girl's return in 12 days, 3 hours and 10 minutes (but who's counting?).
The first image from the CW's new ad campaign tied to GG's post-strike premiere on April 21 has leaked onto the Internets and I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that some folks might find it a wee bit offensive.
Me? I've already ordered a bus-stop-sized poster of it for my office.
A CW insider, meanwhile, tells me that two versions of the ad are being produced: one with Serena and Nate (see above) and a second with Blair and Chuck. Also, the "F" in the "OMFG" will only appear in select locations. Select "cool" locations.
Which version do you prefer?
Plus, check out the campaign's hot new video.

As gorgeous as Blake Lively is, I never thought of Serena as an overtly sexual/sensual being.
Until now.
Holy moly.

Don't you mean Serena, Matt?

Blair? Am I confused? That looks like Nate and Serena to me. In fact it looks like the exact same scene where they showed the flashback of the two of them getting it on from before Serena left town.

I've seen your office, Ausiello, the poster won't fit.

That's going to raise a few eyebrows. I am pretty sure that it is from the flashback of Serena and Nate from pretty early in the show.
I wonder what the "select 'cool' locations" being referred to are.

I don't know which one I like, cause I haven't seen the one with Blair/Chuck! Although I definitely look forward to seeing it!!

Wow! Haha, those are great. Definitely fits with the show.
Can't wait for new episodes, hopefully they haven't lost quality while on break.

Seems like the poster should read
[large type, no punctuation, as with OMFG]
COMING
[Then, in the smaller type of the banner at the bottom of the Serena/Chunk ad]
. . . back to the CW on Monday, April 21st at 8pm.
Oh, also:
There should be a third poster:
Serena and Blair in the same sort of clench.
Well, one of the characters on the show is supposed to be gay, why not have it be two of 'em -- and the two leads at that? ">
Oh, right, I'm a straight white male and you've already got me watching the show. Fooey!
-- Rob -- adds, "But if Serena and Blair do eventually hook up, I hope that Joss writes it."

I prefer OMG. No need to swear. I don't understand why they didn't put say Nate and Blair or Dan and Serena.
Would be more interesting.
