Exclusive: Michael Ausiello Is Moving On!
The great philosopher Sheryl Crow once said sang, "A change will do you good." And I sure hope she knew what she was talking about, because I'm standing on the precipice of a doozy.
After eight fraktastic years with TV Guide — the best of my career — I've made the toughest decision of my life: To move on to new challenges at Entertainment Weekly. No tears, please. (I'm sure Elisabeth Rohm has shed enough for all of us.) TVGuide.com and TV Guide magazine will be fine without me. Great, in fact. I'm leaving behind so many voracious scoophounds that you may not even realize I'm gone. (Plus, the office's monthly diet Snapple bill is sure to go down substantially.)
Before I go, though, I wanted to express my unsmurfing gratitude to you guys, for the hundred million things you've been moved to ask Ausiello. It's because of you and our shared obsession with the tube that I am lucky enough to do for a living what you can only wish you got to I love the most. Sincerely — thanks for the memories, Ausholes, and here's to many more.

i am so sad. i have developed such an unnatural love of you, mr. ausiello. i had a subscription of EW for many years, but left after one of their best writers left. you have just given me a reason to get back to that magazine. (they should give you a bonus just for that!). but you will be severely missed here on tv guide. i looked forward every wednesday to a new ask ausiello. i even know how to write your name without looking i love you so much. but really, congrats on your new job, i'm sure all your devoted ausholes will be following you there.

you can't leave me! You are the only thing I have to look forward to every Wednesday. I will never get over the fact that not one of my letters was ever answered by you even once? I will miss your snappy reparte...I guess life will go on, but now I have to find a new Wed. routine...thanks alot!

Oh Michael!!!!My tummy sank when I read that headline. I have been a devotee for years and Wednesday mornings are "Michael mornings" because I get some aus-some scoop. However, Entertainment Weekly is like my bible so I am more than delighted that you are headed there. I am excited to have you join some of my other favourite TV writers. Thank you for being my source for scoop and giggles. You kick AUS! C'mon, give me a break....I am a teacher by day and a TV geek by night.
